Indoor boat ride @ Pigeon Forge?

When looking at info. for Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg several months ago I came across an interactive boat ride that was being built down there. The problem is...I cannot find the info any longer, and am having no luck on the internet finding it.

I about 75% sure it was being built in PF. It was an indoor, prehistoric-themed boat ride in a jungle. It was to be completed by this summer. I want to say it was to be located around the Louise Mandrell Theatre too.

Does this help anyone? If I remember any other details I'll tell you.

I was there in late August. The ride doesn't look like it was ever completed. The building is located (aproximately) across from the old Rockin' Raceway and Comedy Barn on the main strip. There was construction equipment in the front of the building, and you could tell that the ride wasn't completed just by looking at the entrance. I wonder if they ran out of funding? *** Edited 9/25/2005 4:47:13 AM UTC by Brother Dave***
I was there in Late July and they were working on it when I drove by. Lots of workers there when i drove, it was in the area Dave mentioned. It is called Jurassic River Ride, IIRC. Looked like fun, I hope it opens up soon. Like, December soon :).
Good to hear that construction was actually taking place. Perhaps they're just delayed. If it does ever open, I know I'll want to check it out the next time I visit Dollywood! *** Edited 9/25/2005 4:58:37 AM UTC by Brother Dave***
I'm with you Tek! December would be great. I don't know why, but first I was exclusively about coasters, then I started adding flats and other thrill rides. Now, out of nowhere I want to ride dark rides! I'm ok with that as long as coasters remain #1 with me.

By the way, thanks for your help Dave & Tek, that's the place.

Hey Chad. It's called the Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride. Here's a very early construction pic:

They are still working on it. The Dept. of Tourism says the people building it have given them several estimated completion dates that have already past. You might check with them in a week or so.

FYI

Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride is now open
