Indianapolis
I was thinking of making a little weekend coaster trip ro coasterland. I wanted to check out CP, Indiana beach, and Kennywood. How far is Indianapolis from these places? I don't mind driving a lot. I just don't want to drive from California. The air fairs to Indianapolis are way cheaper than Ohio.

I know from Cincinnati to Indy its about 2 hrs. I'd say to go to CP , from Indy, it might be a little more about 3-3.5 hrs. You can go to the parks websites and it might tell you how long to there.

Indy is a good 8 hours from Pittsburgh. That would be streching it for a roadtrip to Kennywood.
If you are flying from California, you should check rates into Cleveland-Hopkins Airport. They seem to have good deals on flights to the west coast. From there you will only be 1 hr from Cedar Point, and 2 hours from Kennywood.

I was considering Indiana Beach on a Friday morning and afternoon; drive to Sandusky for an entire Saturday at CP; drive to Kennywood Sunday morning and spend the afternoon there, then drive all the way back to IN.
Problem is the rental car prices. Anybody have experience with that? Perhaps I should skip IN and go to CP and Kennywood and Gauga Lake??? Suggestions? Comments?

I find Detroit and Indianapolis for some reason are cheaper to fly to than Cleveland from Southern California. I'm thinking of doing something similar the last full week in July.

Indy to IB 90 minutes
IB to CP 5 hours
CP to KW ??
KW to Indy 7 hours
