The topic is still there, but *gasp* you're the only one who cares about randomly speculating over a rumor! (And therefore it fell to the second or third page.) Use the search function, it comes in handy sometimes.
Nobody ever said it was coming.

I know it's just that some people want it to come, and then again most likely it won't come because the percentage of people that wanted IJA to come is'nt lookin good now.
I'm starting to think you have no grip on reality. We are not on the Disney board of directors, we have nothing to do with what they build. YOU don't either!! The conversation died because it was done, so stop bringing it up.
Maybe I should try a different approach:
Dude, Michael Eisner and Bob Iger just called me, they said that if you make one more post the Indiana Jones ride will be cancelled and never built. Better stop posting!

You'll get a lot more mileage out of your question at, say, wdwinfo. Go ask there, and leave us alone.
Don't think that Disney message boards have been spared a similar assault. This character has been making heads shake for quite awhile at WDWMagic.
I cannot remember the last attraction Disney installed based on a popular vote... can someone refresh my memory?

Pirates of the Carribean at WDW due to the fact it wasn't there at opening and people were pissed and complained. Other than that, none i think, mabey ToT at DCA...
Leave us along about it already.
There, now you've got Mr. Genius and Mr. Other Genius telling you.

and possibly draw attendance away.... (Note how this year they opened 3 attractions... with one on the way next year to balance things out.. and keep attendance up at all the WDW parks and keep resorts filled..)
Heck, the MK itself started with two nearly identical spinners: Dumbo and Astro. Triceratops was later installed at AK with the "innovation" that the ride vehicles not only go up and down, they also tilt. Finally, the exact same ride system was used on Aladdin in the MK, giving it a THIRD spinner.
So no, I don't think this is a reason why Indy would not be built at WDW.
-brian, wondering how this thread can possibly still be alive, and why he is bothering to add to the steaming pile.

I can't imagine that most people would think two attractions with the same ride system but completely different themes/stories are "the same", preventing WDW from installing similar ride systems nearby. If that were true, Epcot would never have gotten Spaceship Earth, because it's "just an omnimover" and the magic kingdom already has one (Mansion).Heck, the MK itself started with two nearly identical spinners: Dumbo and Astro. I did say expensive and current company...
The dumbo spinners are cheaper then a EMV and not how not many new unique darkrides are getting built but many torn out...
(besides.. they might have something eklse planned for that spot latter.. or waiting to build it when the other parks are getting something else.. maybe after Epcot's 20th B-day??
