Indiana help

I am taking my first trip to Indiana Beach and Holiday World in 8 days. Sadly, being the procrastinator that I am, I still have not made reservations in Monticello nor Santa Claus. I would like to stay at the Indiana Beach "resort" is it usually booked way in advance? And where should I stay in Santa Claus, yes I went to the HW website and I don't know if I should spend the money on the closest or possibly maybe even stay a little bit out of town. We don't have tents and it's my parents 20th wedding anniversary so we aren't camping (too bad they don't like coasters!)

Just make sure you book your hotel as soon as possible. Whenever I go to IB and stay overnight, I stay at a cheap motel withen walking distance of the main entrance near where the log flume and HH are. That way we never have to worry about driving and can just walk back and forth to get things like a bathing suit or sun block or anything. At HW we just had reservations at a hotel in Jasper, but we didn't drive from there to HW, we drove from HW to the hotel. The other part of the trip we had us driving up from Kentucky, so I can't help you much there. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I'll check out things in Monticello, are there any casinos near either of the parks, my mom would like to gamble some.
