Indiana Beach, SFKK and Holiday World time zones?

Planning a visit to these 3 parks and 1 would like to know if there is a change in time zones. I am from the UK and not too familar with the time zones.
Indiana Beach and Holiday World are in the Central Time zone during the summer.... Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom is always on Eastern Standard Time... Indiana is confusing like that...

Thanks, do you know of any discounts on Indiana Beach wristbands?
SFKK is on normal spring forward/ Fall back eastern time.

IB is stuck year round on Eastern Standard Time, or to Make it simpel EST in Winter and CDT in Summer!!

Beware of Kiddie Coasters

If you're a member of ACE, IB offers 2 for 1 wristbands all season this year. All you have to do is show your ACE card to receive the discount.
Yes, SFKK is on Eastern Daylight Time (Not standard) for most of the season. For Indiana you should probably just call ahead and ask what time it is. No one in Indiana seems to be able to agree on the time.
"What time is it in Indiana?"

Louisville, KY is on Eastern time and follows Daylight time normally. It's EDT during coaster season. Same time year round as New York City.

Santa Claus, IN is in Spencer county and (according to the 'red zone' on the map) is on Central time and follows Daylight time normally. It's CDT during coaster season. Same time year-round as Chicago.

Indiana Beach is year-round Eastern Standard (EST), which would make it the same as CDT during coaster season.

Indiana, Arizona, and Hawaii are the only three states in the USA that have weirdo Daylight Savings Time rules. AZ and HI just don't do Daylight time anywhere ever, so that's easy. Indiana is the only one with weirdo special case exceptions, and Holiday World is in one of the exception areas.

For someone visiting from the UK, you picked the most complicated state possible. Welcome to our weird country. :)

Short version: During the summer... Kentucky Kingdom will be 4 hours west of Greenwich Mean Time, Holiday World and Indiana Beach will be 5 hours west of GMT. During the winter, it's -5, -6, and -5.

** edit: apparently *some* of the Navajo reservation that is in Arizona does follow Daylight Time...

Unfortunately, the facts make it far more complicated than it needs to be.

For the purposes of traveling this summer:
SKFF is on Eastern Time (same as New York and Cincinnati); and
IB and HW are on Central Time (same as Chicago and St. Louis).

Have a wonderful trip! Paula

New park Paula? SKFF? ;)

We'll, lets say you drive from SFKK in one hour. You leave SFKK at 5pm you'll arrive at HW at 5pm! These are local times of course. As some stated above, HW and IB are on the same time zone.

After explaining the time zone thing for the umpteenth time this Spring, Paula deserves a *break* on the SKFF thing....and as long as HW doesn't give US a *brake*, we'll be at HW this year, and every year....no better way to kick off *the season*....:)

bill, thinking Paula just MAY be the strongest advocate in all of Hoosierland for resolving the "Great Indiana Time Zone Debate"....:)

Yes folks, he's back and confusing the masses with his gatorese...which is ALMOST as confusing as the Indiana time zones (which really aren't confusing in the summer).

Word has it Indiana will make a new time zone. It's quite small, encompassing only Dawnmarie's office and home. She'll finally be able to say she's on "Dawn time."

Kids: review at Moosh's post and tell me what's wrong with the picture? ;)

And while we can all use a little "dawntime" now and then, I hear that "bASStime" is the way to go.
