Indiana Beach pays several years of back taxes

A White County amusement park has reportedly paid nearly $350,000 that it owed the county after neglecting several years’ worth of property and innkeeper’s taxes. Indiana Beach Amusement Resort, a recreation spot on Lake Shafer in Monticello, owed the county an estimated $180,000 in self-reported innkeeper’s taxes, which go toward promoting tourism in the area and lake cleaning efforts, and $167,000 in property taxes.

Seems like things are finally turning around there. Indiana Beach posted a picture on their Facebook page of Rocky Mountain Construction doing some track work on Cornball.
I'm looking at going over Memorial Day weekend. Love that park. hope they continue to take care of it the way it needs to be done.

Hard to believe a Falling Star being relocated rather than removed (very happy about it). Hopefully it's getting an intensive rehab while making the trip...

Glad to hear this stuff. Hurricane was so bad last year, people refused to ride it during ERT. Who wouldda thunk a mid-sized out and back with buzz bars that ran GREAT every year before the current owners took over could get so bad?
The whole wrist-band scan every single time seems to be another issue. The morale of the place... it's getting kind of sad at this point. I hope things get better. I miss Indiana Beach.
