Indiana Beach' Coaster Event

I was just poking around at IB's website and came upon the info. for there coaster event, "The Crow Flies at Midnight". It's a themed enthusiasts event August 18th - 20th, and it looks pretty cool. They say it's their 4th year for the event, and my questions are:

Has anyone been to this event before? If so, did you like it? Is it worth the trip?

I'm interested, I was just wanting to get some feedback from my Coasterbuzz family. Thanks!

Hmm an event at Indiana Beach? Sounds like fun! I have never been to IB (don't beat me over the head yet) even though I live in Terre Haute (ok come beat me over the head now). I cannot wait to make it there this year (hopefully).
That has been called Lost Coaster Weekend for the last three years. I'm a member of one of those MSN message board things and if you scoll down you can find some discussions about it in August. Check back far enough and you'll find something about it for the last 3 events.

Go to IB! Go for an event, go for a day (well, night), a weekend, but GO!

^^ That....well....no comment. :)

More IB for me...

Gator, I'm pulling the poor college kid card out on this one. I can't afford to travel as much as I would like.
IB had an add-on day just prior to the ACE Con last year and it was great fun. It's a little like some of the "pier parks" you find on both coasts and they have a great variety of rides and coasters.

Go directly to IB. Do not pass Go. Do not collect your $200. Just go!

I went to the first two Lost Coaster weekends and had a blast. Heck, everytime I go to Indiana beach I have a blast. What else can anyone say? GO....and have a blast!!

The Lost Coaster weekend that I attended 2 years ago was quite a bit of fun and well worth the money. I really liked the Friday night reception and the Saturday lunch was great. They also did the boat around the lake Saturday night which was nice.

I have a weakness for the park because it reminds me of the old Chain of Rocks park I used to go to on school picnics.

andy_h, we'll give you an *excused absence* for all IB events up to now. But before I read about you heading ANYWHERE out of state, I need an IB trip report from you on my desk... ;)

LOL! :)

Oh so I guess I should not bring up Dollywood's opening day this year. It was a blast. :)

Yah...I'll have to echo the sentiment here. Event or not, GO! It's such a neat-o place!

Indiana Beach is absolutely one of my favorite parks. The only time we've visited is for their Lost Coaster Weekends and they are an absolute blast and true weekend-long events. If you go stay on-site at the motel or one of their new condos/cottages, otherwise the campground is a great choice as well. Try their brunch at the Skyroom both Saturday and Sunday morning, in fact plan on eating a lot (tacos and elephant ears are two favorites).

Then there's the water shows, chilling at the beach and their water park, an awesome selection of flat rides, plus a haunted walk-through castle, the Den of Lost Thieves dark ride and of course a great selection of coasters including three CCIs and a Schwarzkopf. The evening cruise on Lake Shafer is wonderful and the entire staff treats you like family. IB is truly a unique gem and one of those rare parks where you get to relax and enjoy an amusement park. *** Edited 4/21/2006 5:15:10 AM UTC by Marko***
