incomplete theimng

Two words......Raging Bull. It has a story behind the ride, it has the start of "themeing" on the *only* wall of the station, and that's about it. So much more could have been done to make it fit more with SW territory.
For more on themed drop rides see:

Tower Of Terror and the drop ride (somewhere in Europe) that is completely enclosed. Does anyone know where that is?

Alright jeremy, I can't resist any longer...if you honestly want to theme a turbo-shot, there really is a "best" way.  Theme the ride like the sledgehammer game (where you ring the bell or whatever).  Have an animatronic "strongman", Noriega perhaps, LOL, come out and strike the mighty hammer blow that sends riders rocketing skyward...

Good point 2Hostlyl, I didn't think of Dr. Doom, and haven't heard of Apocalypse.
I guess that Supreme Scream could have a themed queue.  I would have an indoor queue themed to a surf shop, with the line winding through rows of surfboards, with surf movies playing.
But to Rollergator, the space shot you are describing is the exact theme of Disney's California Adventure's Maliboomer.  Basically, its themed to a Hi-Striker game, (the one with the hammer) complete with sound effects.

How about...Cedar Point, with the exception of that Frontier thing they got goin on.  I'm not a big fan of gravel in ride areas either, but that seems to be pretty much the norm nowadays.  Although I do like X-Flight's "mud wrestling" theme, they did a GREAT job with that one.

Is it the roar of Kumba or the kumba of Roar? Discuss!

That's why they call CP an "Amusement Park" and not a Theme Park.

I've always loved that "excuse". ;) Not to say they haven't tried or anything. It really is expensive, and they've always been successful doing what they're always done, so it doesn't really matter.

Hurler at carowinds and I believe pkd was supposed to have billboards of famous rock bands along the side of it and there was to be a stage show inside the farthest turn

of course now hurler isnt even themed to waynes world any more

How about Goldrusher @ SFMM? It seems more like a garden than a mine train.

That's amazing news to me, CFM, I honestly didn't know how Maliboomer was themed.  Oh well, I remember talking with Jill about how they should make a wooden coaster with....a LOOP!  Man wouldn't that be something special....well, turns out that was already "in the works" at SOME park in the Midwest.  I guess there really are no "original" thoughts anymore...

LOL Spacecace.  Just X-flights name has potential for great theming.  The landscaping around the walk to the queue was pretty good though.  I think it would be sweet if they covered the helix finale in fog and threw in some strobe lights; however, that costs money.  Or put up a huge X or something you walk under at the entrance.

I was blown away by IOA's theming.  It's really remarkable and shows they are an actual "theme" park.

There's half of an "X" at the entrance if you count that big, crane-type thingy!  ;)

ProgRay (who never really understood what the X-Flight crane was for)
