When an e-stop happens on that kind of coaster, the electric motor (which is onboard the ride) stops, which in theory stop the ride at the bottom of a drop. That happened, but that caused the 2 sets of cars to ram each others, which cause 25 people to suffer light injuries.
As for the cars detaching themselves, Mack stated that its wasn't a Mack part that broke... Faulty replacement part?
Just noticed too... a boat on the Mack flume at Toverland (park in Netherlands with the first Vekoma Motorbike coaster) wasn't braked enough by the water and when it hit the turn, the boat got out of the flume channel!!! 5 people were injured *** Edited 5/9/2005 3:51:59 AM UTC by Absimilliard***
