Impulses...the next Vekoma Boomerang?

Wasn't their a rumor Knott's would be getting a super-sized impulse in 2002?

i dont think knotts can afford to get another small ride, it seems like the only coaster worth riding there is ghostrider.Dont get me wrong an impulse would be cool, but imo they need some type of full circuit looper...preferably intamoin or B&M
This is just a rumor, But I heard that SFoG got a Vekoma package deal, and along with Deja Vu, they will be getting another Vekoma next year ('02). I hope it is a Vekoma Impulse! That would be awesome!

Mindbender...Can you hear the Riddler chuckling?
Mindbender04 Vekoma doesn't make the Impulse coaster Intiman (spelling?) does.
Freak_ster...I know this..I heard another rumor from A Vekoma employee that they are toying with the idea of a vekoma impulse. Everyone knows Intamin makes Impulses..But Vekoma has made a linear launch coaster, and they make inverted coasters, so all of the correct technology is in place for a Vekoma Impulse

Umm...didn't we all think Boomers were cool in the very beggining...I can see the future, they are going to be a dime a dozen, just like Boomers.

Life is short, make it count...
I would love to see dueling impulse coasters. Ever since I first rode the Tidal Wave at SFGAM I envisioned that theory. Sure the power drain would be great, but almost near misses on the twists would be intense.

I'm still wondering why both spikes aren't twisted! Spiraling while facing the sky sounds cool, but spiraling while facing the ground sounds much better! If both spikes were twisted, front and back would ride basically the same, and everyone would get to twist a little. But what I'm really wondering is, can the spiral spikes really withstand the test of time with no support at all? If Intamin's box track is really that strong, it must be truly revolutionary! (That pun wasn't inteded, but feel free to laugh anyway!)

I think we all probibly though the first few Bommerang's were cool! Impulses have already lost some novelty but hey I think they will have better luck than Boomers. Hopefully we can see modified versions of the ride just like the Inverted Boomerang and now Supersized bommerangs. If you watch Extreme Rides 2001 and saw that absoulty HUGE building full of stuff for the ride to operate that really told me that these things were more than just a cheep thriller.
