Viacom International Media Networks has announced a partnership with IMG Worlds to develop its first Nickelodeon park in the Middle East which will be within the new IMG Worlds of Legends theme park in Dubai.
Read more from Variety.
The existing Worlds of Adventure park has only been open for what, 2 months? Seems pretty quick to be announcing a second gate.
This article does a better job of explaining the scope of this expansion. Worlds of Legends looks to be pretty big; much more than just a Nickelodeon land.
Good morning from the Rollback!
As of today, the IMG Worlds of Adventure wikipedia page lists only two licensed properties for the park and that's Marvel and Cartoon network. Worlds of Legends was supposed to open in 2020, but I haven't found anything about what actually happened. With the opening originally set for 2020 the project wasn't likely a victim of the pandemic or we'd have simply seen a delayed opening.
This article from Attractions Magazine has an easy-to-read list of all the IP that would have been involved and it was quite an extensive list including not only Nickelodeon but Power Rangers, Mattel, Ubisoft, Pokemon, and others.
Anyone know what made things fall through?

Based on my travels in that area I would guess that they decided that the planned investment was too big for the local market. The indoor parks in Abu Dhabi get busy enough (Ferrari World, Sea World, Warner Bros) but I've never seen much of a crowd in any of the Dubai parks.
I develop Superior Solitaire when not riding coasters.
The Dubai parks outside? It too hot maybe? Also, doesn’t strike me as a huge theme park going crowd over there either.
The existing IMG park is indoors (except for the launched coaster, but that launches from indoors).
