I'm going to SFNE in late june...

My school is taking a trip to SFNE june 18th or 24th. Not sure which one but anyways do you think all the rides will be operating and will their be a lot of people??? I know Batman will be working, and i never rode flashback so im actually looking forward to riding it, and which ride should i hit first?

-----------------
Out of the coasters i've ridden here is what I rank them overall:(ive been to canobie lake and SFNE)
1. S:RoS 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Riverside Cyclone 4. Canobie
Corkscrew 5. Thunderbolt 6. Galaxy 7. Mind Eraser 8. Dragon coaster 9. poison ivy's tangl

You actually want to ride a Boomerang coaster? Is there something wrong with you? lol

A Vekoma SLC would do Nebraska wonders! :-)

Well everyone always talks about them and i want to see what its like. and i have heard the boomerang at SFNE is smoother then some others...

All the coasters except flashback were opn on openning day last year.

Opening day is April 20, so all the coaster should definitely be operating be June.

the SFNE boomerang is definetly ALOT smoother than the others I have rode. 97% headbang free.

June is usually a brutal month as far as crowds go. Schools are constantly visiting this place by the tons of people. I don't think you'll see a light crowd day there no matter waht day you go. Since the weekdays are often filled with school trips. However, in early June you usually can go there without the park being crowded because most people don't know the park is open daily by then.

In terms of rides to hit first.... well I have no idea since B:TDK will be there. But in the past two years S:ROS has been enormously popular so maybe you should head to that or BTDK first. I'm sure a ton of people have told you this. Surprisingly, the boomerang at SFNE is really popular. Often has a waiting time of over 20 minutes. Sometimes over 30. So if you really want to ride the boomerang you may have to wait.

I would suggest (if you get there early) to take a spin on Flashback first. It has low capacity and fills up quickly. S:RoS and BDK (if they're both on 2 trains) will prob. be ~45min no matter when you hit them in the day whereas flashback can get to be an hr. at peak and 10 minutes early and late.

The legend lives!

Get the Speed Pass for Superman:Ride of Steel and don't head for it first. That's what everyone does, late afternoon is the best time to ride Superman. First head for Scream, the drop tower, trust me it has the slowest line in the park and can fill up fast. Then head for Mind Eraser and Batman Dark Knight next. That section of the park is dormant until the afternoon rush for lunch on that side of the park, go early and you'll have Mind Eraser, Chaos, Double Trouble, and BATMAN all to yourself. Save the North End of the park for last(Cyclone, Flashback, Blizzard River) because that side of the park is always dormant and Cyclone is best ridden in later hours. You should also check out Crack Axle Canyon and ride Houndini's Great Escape, the park's hidden gem. I'd end the day with a couple of rides on Thunderbolt, it's a great woodie and is awsome to ride when lite up at night.

Can't break that, it's a suprise that you'll have to find out when you ride it. The whole ride is a suprise. Trust me, if you try to find out it will ruin the experience for you.

yeah but one thing Vertigo... .it's kind of sad.... fast pass now costs 10 bucks. It was once free. So if you want to pay to get free rides on Superman you can do that.

Some rides are scarry, exciting, thrilling, or breathtaking. Some rides are painful and cause headbanging. Some rides are dizzying and others are relaxing. However, Houdini: the Great Escape is just plain fun. It was the most fun the first time I rode, and now it is fun to see the reactions from other first time riders who don't know what to expect.

Does anyone know if B:TDK is supposed to be ready for opening day?

Also, MikeMir, note that if your school is going, then SFNE has scheduled that day with like 45 other schools on that day, too. That happened to me last year :(

SFNE drops the "floor" on SFNE for 2002! Visit www.geocities.com/sfneguy for info. and pics of SFNE, including NEW constr. pics of B:DK!!!

Yeah Alex, the park was packed. Luckily, this year we get to go on Wednesday. It's so cool that our school goes for a magazine drive. Also, our school team is going for some physics thing. One thing, finish that work and ride!

Advance to "Roller Coaster". Do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars.

When SFNE opens in the morning everbody will either run to Superman or Batman. In the morning flashback will probably have no line so do it then if it's open. It's better to get it over with right away b/c it breaks down alot during the day. Have a good time!!!
