I'm dreaming of coaster season 2011

What are your coaster plans for 2011? I plan on SFOG for Dare Devil Dive. Holiwood Nights. Then a first time trip to Laronde, Canada's Wonderland, Darien Lake and Six Flags Great Escape. Hope to finish the year with a Disney World and Busch Gardens trip.

Dreaming is free! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql04VOC4uMU Ain't that cute!?

I definitely want to get back to SFOG to ride my beloved Mind Bender, of course look forward to Dare Devil Dive too.

My most wanted list - most everything in PA (cept Dorney, seein Laser is gone). Still have yet to get some of those classics like Conneaut Blue Streak and Lakemont's woodies.

I'll probably do Holiwood Nights, haven't missed but a couple of those since it began with Raven!

I haven't really decided on this years park trips yet. I need to drive 4.5 hours West to finally visit Holiday World for the first time. I might venture South and give new-to-me Six Flags over GA a try.

I didn't get out to Kings Dominion like I wanted to last year, so maybe I'll validate my rain check for that one. Last time I was there was 17 years ago, I think.

I am visiting my family this Spring in central PA, so maybe I'll try to get some of them to go to Kennywood with me. I haven't bee there in a few years.

I always go to Kings Island. Every year I try not to, because there are a lot of nearby parks that I haven't visited yet, but every year I end up going anyways. I really love that park, for some reason.

Cedar Fair hasn't had it long enough to get rid of all the charm. ;)

I will be attending Holiwood Nights and PPP for the rest of my life, or as long as these events keep going. I will be there whether I am physically able to ride anything or not!

I will always visit CP and KI as long as I keep getting a CF season pass. I usually visit both parks during the Spring and Fall only. Dollywood is another one I will be visiting more than once in 2011 since I have a season pass. I couldn't pass up THAT deal!

Other than that I have no clue. I REALLY want to do the ACE Texas Con in June. I have never been to any of the Texas parks and the lineup (including the add-on parks) is definitely making me drool. Recent photos of the Texas Giant has really caught my attention. ;) That will be the "big" trip if it happens.

That will probably be it unless I win the lottery. I soooo wanna go to Europe more than anything, and not just for the parks. Hopefully someday. :)

Demon, I didn't click your link, but I'll take a stab and guess it's a Blondie video for a certain number off Eat To The Beat.

Did some dreaming myself yesterday..office closed due to a foot and a half of snow. What I would LOVE to do is drive cross-country, hitting SF St. Louis and Worlds of Fun. I'd visit my bud in Utah and hit Lagoon, then on to Californy for Magic Mountain, Knotts, and Great America. All six of those would be first time visits for me.

Was also thinking the above two Missouri parks, then down to the two SF parks in the Lone Star State.

But I probably can't afford those dreams, so it'll probably be the usual suspects locally...although I didn't..and may not..get a Cedar Fair pass this season, so my number of visits to Dorney may shrink. I WOULD like to get to Canobie Lake for the first time, and that would be doable, but I'm not sure sure about investing the drive time and overnight stay for a park that doesn't seem all THAT and a bag of chips. It looks OK, and the coasters appeal, especially if UNTAMED is ready (is that the correct name?)

Like Tina said above, a lottery win would make these flights of fancy a little more realistic.

Like Tina I've already got HWN and PPP on the calendar. I'll probably have my usual dozen or so Cedar Point visits of varying durations. Now that I have a Six Flags pass in the mix, I'd like to make good on my Chicago friends' offer to tour me around the city and then hit up SFGrAm. There's also been some talk of a New England trip, where we'd get SFNE, Quassy, Compounce, and a few others. And I really, *really* want to get to Waldameer more this year. Compared to my zero times last year. [Edit: I forgot, I did get there once, and RF2 was running amazingly smooth. Hence why I was so disappointed I didn't get back there again.]

So that's the starting point of the planning process. We'll see what actually happens. :)

....Hold on to that feelin' :)

Anyhow, I'm planning to hit the usuals next year....Busch Gardens, the Orlando Trifecta (Disney, Universal, Seaworld), Great Adventure, Six Flags over Georgia, Cedar Point.

The not so usuals I want to hit are Canada's Wonderland, Magic Mountain, King's Dominion, and Discovery Kingdom.

The new Parks I am thinking of are Six Flags over texas, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Dollywood, Carowinds, La Ronde, Alton Towers, Blackpool and maaaaybe Europa Park.

I'm kicking off the coaster year early, in January, as AVMatt and I go to Disneyworld (my first time at the parks) for MLK Jr. Weekend.

I plan on hitting Dollywood in March, perhaps opening weekend, since I haven't been since 2008 (yikes!).

Also plan on hitting Kings Dominion for their opening weekend.

I just started (another) new job, so I have zero vacay to take for a couple months, so I'll be doing lots of coaster related travel on holiday weekends.

Planning on Texas for Memorial Day weekend.
Skipping HWN and probably doing Coaster Mania this year.
July 4th weekend I may do the first part of a NorEaster trip in and around Penn/NY, with the 2nd half (which might include parts of Canada) for Labor Day Weekend.
One weekend I'll hit up SFoG once the new coaster is open.
Oh, and plenty of trips to Carowinds like I did this year.

I'm considering a West Coast trip over Thanksgiving as well.

I think that covers it.

I'm thinking of Cyclone at Astroland/NYC and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Riding Cyclone will just be an add-on to a trip to see New York City in June. These two parks will both be new destinations for me. And I'll mostly like stop by other parks along the way, like Kings Dominion.

Of course I'll still make numerous trips to my home parks, Cedar Point and Kings Island.

Somehow I keep delaying my plan to hit every woodie in Pennsylvania.

Very close - it's a Hong Kong Orphanage choir singing the song with the Blondie (without Debbie). Very sweet! The kids even mimic Debbie's moves.

If anyone is going to SFGAm and needs a guide, let me know! I have a pass and go up all the time - even if it's only for a ride on the Whizzer. I heart Whizzer. And Demon. And red Eagle.

I'd really like to get south this year to Carowinds, which I have never been to. I haven't been to KD since 1984; I'm sure I will feel the absence of *Buzzbars* :( and King Kobra!

I am planning on going to Dorney and Great Adventure around 12 - 15 times each next season as usual and at least 1 trip to Hershey, hopefully on Easter Sunday and maybe once in the fall. I have been trying to get to Hershey on Easter for the past 4 years and it never works out (usually because of weather). I also hope to get to Morey's next year since I didn't go there this past season and probably will take few trips to Ocean City, NJ to go to Playland Castaway's Cove and Gillian's Wonderland Pier when I go to Atlantic City multiple times next summer.

I just watched it...very cute. I'd love to know the circumstances of Debbie not being involved...and there's no sign of Chris, either. Maybe they were taking a backstage break. At least my fellow Bayonne native (and Ramone for one gig,) Clem Burke, is on the drums. Clem actually grew up on the block I now reside on. To get it back on amusement park topic, the last time I saw Debbie and the band was at GAdv in either '07 or '08..whichever year (shudder!!!) Dark Knight opened.

My wife's due at the end of June, so I pretty much won't be going anywhere next year. :(

Hi

I am most excited to experience The Voyage with Timberliners.

...and possibly, my first Holiwood Nights event. :)

Using the FREE Ticket I got last October, I will return to Texas and Visit Kemah Boardwalk to ride their Woodie. I will also re-visit Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Sea World, so I can check out their Waterparks (Both of which were closed during my Halloween Trip this year. I will also spend a few days in New Braunfels, If Schlitterbahn is what I hear it is I should be in for a fun trip. I will also make several visits to Busch Gardens, Sea World, Adventure Island and Aquatica, since I have their "Platinum" Pass that I purchased at the Texas Park in October. :)

I am making my first ever trip to Dollywood/Pigeon Forge over Memorial Day weekend. Very excited for that. :) I am also going to Niagara Falls next year and plan on going to Marineland. I have been fascinated/curious about Dragon Mountain for a while now.

If you'll be in Canada, are you gonna hit Wonderland? I stayed very close to Niagara Falls, and it was about 1.5 hours....gorgeous park, some unique and semi-unique rides. Only downside, IMO, is a somewhat mediocre coaster collection.

Well congrats. (positive spin) A new kid brings boundless joy....more than any theme park or coaster.
