What the hell are you smoking? WDW as ONE park? You're kidding, right? And scratch off Disney is kinda like going to Paris then just looking at sewer caps instead of eating the food and going to the Eiffel Tower.

Dear god, somebody get this guy a travel planner!

I usually only get ONE day in Orlando....but at least it's a short drive...;)

Busch definitely ownz SeaWorld, how ELSE could you explain the free beer...;). The Disney park-hopper IS the way to go, IM-not-too-HO...;)

Top Thrill.....great to see you on-board....now if we can only get *CB* to post once in awhile....

bill, DOES expect a call/e-mail from the Windy City when you guys start making plans for a FL trip...

P.S. Old Town's SkyCoaster and SlingShot *are* expensive, but they're also VERY large....and you don't have to pay to get IN at Old Town...and the discount books are available at the Hospitality Center on-site...;)

Finally, scratch Katanga off ANY Orlando plans, it's SBNO until further notice...

I think it's more like going to Paris, realizing you don't have time to do the Louvre properly, so you do the Eiffel Tower, L'Opera, and Notre Dame, then plan another trip to just do the Louvre so that you can appreciate it.

I think that trying to do Disney in 3 days with parking, shuttles, etc. is cheating yourself if you haven't been there before. IOA and Universal, plus MGM can be done and really enjoyed in that amount of time.

I was going to start a new topic for this, but its not worth it. I will actually have about 3.75 days in the Orlando area for theme parks, and are staying at the Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal. Because of the line-skipping capabilities resort guests have, I was thinking we'd spend two days at the Universal parks, and do other stuff the other two days. I have been to all of the Orlando-area parks except Sea World and the water parks (and Busch Gardens, but that doesn't count) and I am wondering if you could lend suggestions to what we could do (revisit disney parks we went to last year, or try the water parks, sea world, ect..) the other days. So far our plan is:

Day I- IOA

Day II- IOA/USO

Day III- ?

Day IV- ?

My bad...he did say Busch, not Sea World. Still, as good as Kraken and JTA are I'd save it for another time when a combo pass can be used for BGT and SWF.

IOA and a Disney combo pass...that's the *ticket* ;)

ACE Con-Quest -- June 11-22

I am spending 3 1/2 days in Orlando in July. I am thinking IOA/universal and Disney MGM would be the most fun. After all they both have coasters :)
You could easily do a "highlights" of all four Disney parks in two days if you plan well. I'd open with Disney Studios one day and MK the next, then move to AK and Epcot in the afternoons. If planned properly, you could get back to Disney Studios after AK and catch Fantasmic.

And if you're driving between parks, there's usally parking spots available close to the entrances in the afternoon, because there are people basically doing the same thing.

We did exactly what I just described last year. I couldn't find a two day park hopper, so now I've got an extra day waiting for our next visit.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

I would spend one day at Sea World. Kraken is one of the most underrated coasters out there. Also we haven't had many wait times any longer than fifteen minutes. But I guess I'm just a little partial to my baby.

Underrated? Please, this Kraken praise is killing me... ;)

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

[Option #1]
1) IOA
2) WDW Park hopper [AK/MGM/EPCOT]*
3) WDW Park hopper [MK/MGM/EPCOT]*

*Only thing is, WDW would be a whirl-wind tour, and you would miss out on the "magical stuff" that makes Disney so special.

[Option #2]
1) IOA
2) USF
3) Sea World

[Option #3]
1) IOA
2) USF
3) MGM/MK/EPCOT* (park hopper)

* here you would go to EPCOT after MK closed and ride Test Track and Space or just watch Illuminations, which is a great show.

Tough choice mate - good luck

What was not mentioned about Old Town, was it's Windjammer (type) roller coaster. I don't remember its real name. A great compact steel twister. They also offer a great walk through haunted house.

Take Me Higher

Day One-IOA morning and early afternoon, EPCOT at night (you might even catch a ride on Mission Space and be sure to catch Illuminations).

Day Two-MGM-If TOT and RRC werent reason enough to visit this park youve got to throw in Fantasmic! the best night show I have ever seen, period. It is not to be missed!

Day Three-Magic Kingdom, how can you possibly think about going to Orlando and not go here! This park is the heart of WDW and is what every little kid dreams about, dont miss this park.

Pluses of my plan: You can buy a three day/one park per day admission package at WDW and save some dough. You hit the big three of WDW and IOA. Full day at MK and MGM plus enough time to hit all the rides at IOA.

Minius: IOA can be squeezed into a 2/3 day no problem but inserting Epcot into the other 1/3rd doesnt do that park justice, but as a coaster fanatic MGM, MK, and IOA are more important think of your night in Epcot as a bonus.

But he wasn't referring to SEAWORLD when he said Busch. Don't choke from laughing so hard. Do you call Six Flags Magic Mountain, "Premiere Parks Magic Mountain"? No! I'm no longer laughing ;)

I think some of Coasterbuzz's members are wound a little too tightly around their flywheel. I just hope I'm out of the way for the launch.

I would recommend that anyone that has already hit all the big parks and rides but and has an extra day go to Sea World the Shows are great and the Krakken is a great ride. I know some say it's over rated and some say it's underrated but for me it was a great coaster as it had a great first drop and the action doesn't stop until the break run 3/4 of the way throught the ride.
