Are you kidding me. RC's were better back then. take a look at the crystal beach cyclone. noooo way would they make anything like that now. there were also less restrictions back then.. well yes roller coaster acidents and injuries im sure were higher then. but there were some scary coasters that were made then. O god i would give my life to ride the crystal beach cyclone.. the banking on that monster..my god. It was such an insane coaster that there was a nurse at the station to tend to the ill fainted folks that couldnt handle it.. tell me is there a ride today that has a nurse at the ready in the station. well maybe Goliath at Magic Mountain when it first opened could of used one.
