How else are they going to make money to replace all those new rides? Duh!
Season passes could go an extra $5.00 with minimal impact so as long as they have something new to market. Parking is high enough, however.
I think the resort prices are reasonable and I would certainly never _not_ stay at the campground because of the price.
I think they need to focus on being a small park locals love, and not a large Six Flags destination park. *** Edited 10/26/2005 2:29:52 PM UTC by eightdotthree***
My apologies, I dont think they are looken to close the place especialy with all the land and Hotel under it. I know its not in the greatest of places but its still a good park and can be better.
the parkneeds a few things and mabie its better off under new ownership.
To address the issue of which park is better, Marineland of SFDL, SF takes it. Marineland has a nice coaster, but the walking is terrible. There aren't too many rides at the park, the focus is animals. It's a zoo with a roller coaster and an S&S tower (which, might I add, is pretty cool. If you are a tourist here, you can kill two birds with one stone: Go to Marineland and see Niagra Falls from the top of the tower). SF has more rides. *** Edited 10/26/2005 2:41:41 PM UTC by italianstallion***
Looks like someone still hasn't 'got it' yet.

I'm not bringing any issues over here. And at least for a 3 year old, I can figure out that higher prices get rid of a certain element that I don't want at the park.Looks like someone still hasn't 'got it' yet.
Oh, I got it, you don't want to see people like you at parks, that's the element. I agree, I would never want to see or meet a person like you at a park.
Season passes are only $50 right now and they only get as high as $60. That's among the cheapest available... heck, one days admission at some Florida parks is more than that! Some parks charge $150 a year for passes, I don't think anyone should really complain about Darien Lake's pricing. I'm pretty sure MFI doesn't sell season passes that cheap!
SFI would be good to up their prices at least $10 at every park, and charge no less than Paramount for a Season Pass. Sure, running specials for SPs early in the season or at the end of a season for the next year is great, and selling tickets online cheaper is not only good for us, but selling online is cheaper for them, as they don't have to staff that person or pay for the ink, paper, etc. is acceptable.
You really do get what you pay for. I paid like no more than $30 for each visit I've made to a Six Flags Park. I've never paid less than about $40 for Cedar Fair (except Geauga, and for some, they'd agree with this statement) or a Paramount Park. Guess where I've had the best experiences?
"Don't raise the price, cause then I couldn't afford to go!"
Indeed :).
