If The Beast Was New in 2000...

I had the pleasure of riding the beast more than 15 times this summer. On my first trip of the summer to PKI I got to ride it with no trim brakes. I t was awesome espeacily at night. The say without the trims that the cars can reach speeds over 70 miles per hour. It felt like a hundred. I got bruises that day it was like a war. So I would take 1 beast over a million forces any day.

How did MF get into this thread?? How can you compare The Beast and MF when one is steel and one is wood and have nothing in common? Can't people enjoy both equally? MF, The Beast and Shivering Timbers are my top 3 favorite coasters and I wouldn't rank one ahead of the other as they are all equally great.
Yeah there all cool in my book but I am just saying that I would rather ride The Beast instead of millenium force sorry if you didnt understand me.

I would like to clarify my original position. I love The Beast, everything about it. It is like nothing that came before it, and nothing comes cloce since. It is the only true terrain coaster, covering 35 acres. I love it. love it, love it! I was playing Devil's advocate with the original post, just to point out the fact that from a pure numbers and records point of view, (except total length) The Beast does not sound that good, until you ride it!

I still remember being in elementary school looking at the Gunniness Book of World Records and seeing a picture of the Beast diving into the helix and stating its the worlds longest coaster. Ever since then I wanted to ride it! Finally after 16 years I finally rode it and its mindblowing.
I think if the Beast was New for 2000 it would be highly rated like it is today. It's just over 20 years millions have gotten a chance to ride the Beast and rate it. Give the newer coasters a few yers to get the GP to ride them and in 20 years we'll see more infamous coasters, Shivering Timbers, Legend, Ghostrider to name a few. I think the Beast will always be considered the since it's the longest.
