A New York couple is restoring Idora Park's carousel, after buying it at an auction in Youngstown 21 years ago for $385,000. The horses have been restored and are on display in New York.

I just wish the carousel would be brought back to Youngstown. :(
It's amazing that they've stuck with this project for so long. It would be nice to see it back in Youngstown but at least it will still survive intact somewhere.

Speaking of northeast Ohio carousels...what is the status of the Euclid Beach machine? Last I heard it was in storage somewhere in Cleveland pending restoration.
