Idlewild announced that it will open its 2006 season of summer fun with a new million dollar expansion of its water park that will enlarge it by more than twenty percent. Idlewild's new pirate-themed water park attraction will be its second major expansion in as many years, complementing its wildly successful 2005 addition, Paul Bunyan's Loggin' Toboggan, a log flume ride located in the Hootin' Holler area of the park. The expansion includes six new slides and an interactive play area.

this park is one of the best kept secret in the amusement park industry. It is nicely themed and stuck way out in the beautiful countryside of the mountains of Ligoner Pa. With the addition of now Defunct "Ole Indianas log Flume .,it has a nicely rounded out selection of rides. A great place to bring your family if you really dont want the hustle and bustle of a really big themer. Just walking around this place is a real treat. and this year they are having Halloween night" Next years plans are 'Mega" with the additon of a 20 acre or so water park add on. If you havent been to this great low key park you gotto go . you wont be diappointed.
