Ideas for PKI antiques

One side of the antique cars at PKI has been closed for years. Any ideas on what should be done with the area?

They could relocate the Antique cars to the Rivertown Pond area and add a B&M it their place.

But...

In my opinion they should stay put.

Personally, I am not sure why they do not just somehow link the two sides and make use of it as a longer course.

Just my opinion ;-)

The only problem with making one mega course is that I believe they park sold off a number of their antique cars, merely keeping the best of the best to run on their antique car ride, which was renamed with the rather boring name "Antique Cars"

Therefore if the cars have to traverse a longer course, the actual throughput of guests through the attraction would diminish.

Personally, I liked my idea when they got ride of the Speedway in Hanna-Barbera Land. They should have moved the sportscars to the Coney side, and all the antqiue cars to the Rivertown side. That would have been especially keen as Coney also had both Days of Thunder and Dodgems at that time.

I had always imagined putting the B&M over and around Rivertown Lake, but moving the car ride there and freeing up that huge central plot of land for a B&M also sounds like it would make a lot of sense. It would be visually stunning as you enter the back area of the park from Tower Circle.

I see Dave's point. Plus, the two courses intertwine. Although the stations are on opposite sides, the track from Ohio Overland Livery (Rivertown) comes close to the station for Les Taxis (Coney), and vice versa. So if the raised the Livery track, that whole space would still be taken up by Taxis, right?

I think they should open Livery back up because it wasn't on the map so no one knew about it. So while people piled into line at Taxis, all I had to do was run over to Rivertown and hop right on.

But then again, as I tend to forget, these days its all about coasters.

I always figured that that area would be a great place for a new coaster. PKI could build something in thier and then run a new course for the antique cars though it's structure. Similar to how the antiques used to run thruough the Eagle at Americana before they were sold to Kentucky Kingdom.

I think they should take it out and put in a couple more pay extras :) J/K

Actually I would like to see the ride moved back over the Whitewater Canyon area and then for PKI to put in a huge ferriswheel as a backdrop to the Eifel Tower plust a coaster.

Wasn't that location as well as the pond/lake across from the Beast the possible site of the now defunct 'Flying Dutchman' coaster? They do need to put something in that area that is highlighting. A ferris wheel idea is a good one.
I like the idea of putting the old "sunshine Turnpike" style cars on the other side of the antique cars. I am not sure that I would like the idea of putting a coaster around the lake in rivertown. I like that just the way it is it is very scenic. If they put anything over there I think a giant ferris wheel in the area of the old aquatic stadium or a wild mouse roller coaster would fit quite nicely.
I agree with the idea of combining the two courses into a megaride and buying a set of brand new cars (matching the existing set) to maintain throughput. These turnpikes are a classic ride in themselves and deserve to be upgraded.
