The trip: Indiana Beach. I consider IB essentially to be my home park. I work at Fun Spot, which is much closer, but I feel a difference between working and playing at parks, so in a way, I get that home park feel from IB. Now for something you'll care about :-)
I went with some co-workers from Fun Spot for a day of fun at IB. Met at my house about 9, got on the road shortly after, and arrived before 11. To my surprise, right at 11, there was no line for wristbands. Anyone who goes to IB regularly knows how long the line can get at the ticket booths, especially the two near the entrance. This time, however, we litterally walked up, payed, and walked away.
First order of the day: LoCoSuMo. I'm now proud to be among the few, the proud, those that have ridden LoCoSuMo. My opinion? Fun. EXTREMELY fun. However, the sign outside the ride signifies a "bone jarring" ride. That's an understatement. LoCoSuMo, however, is a heck of a fun ride, and everyone is laughing through the circut. I didn't see anyone that truely LOVED the ride, but nobody didn't like it just because of the roughness. I think the ride will be popular, but there probably will be some complaints from people that don't like a rough ride at all. I love the ride, rating probably 8/10
Cornball Express was running well today, it was a little rough in the morning, but from my experience, it seems things smooth out and the ride gets 2-3X better later in the day. For today, rated 9/10
Tig'rr was running well as ever, and galaxi seemed extremely smooth for the ride. Got the obligatory 5+ rides on Den of Lost Thieves.
However, there is some bad news for you Den fans. The ride was, at the beginning of the year, modified with green guns in one or two cars. Now, every car except for one has the green guns. one look inside shows that the small light emmiter inside of the gun is set to the side, and these guns shoot terribly. Often I found myself holding it up to a target, and "missing". unfortunately, my previous 800+ scores are impossible with the green guns. Something needs to be done!
Also, (I'm not a complainer, just suggestions) I would love to see the bright light on the first curve/ramp taken out (I think it might be there for the camera to see the area, however) and more light in the rotating drum. Those that aren't looking can't even see the rotating drum moving, it's almost black dark inside. Esp. with the ghosts at the end (did I see those rotating once? they moved, but the ride was being worked on at the time, so...) it could be a great effect.
I decided to do the waterpark. I haven't been in the water area in years, and I was pleasantly surprised. The line for the slides was all the way to the bottom of the stairs of the tower. In any other park, this would be a huge wait. I decided I'd do 1 or 2 slides because of the lines. I ended up doing all 5 slides multiple times. The line, from the bottom of the staircases, (I timed it) was a mere 5.5 min. to the point where I was on the slide! It moved incredibly fast, probably due to the fact that lifeguards "dispatch" people every 20 seconds at the top. that's 15 people a Min., or around 900 an hour. That's some pretty darn good capacity, if I translated correctly ;-) the slides were fun, beach area good, and the lazy river was interesting. Due to the sharp curves, the water actually creates backtows pulling some people backwards at times. Something I've never seen in one of these!
Also rode the double shot, it seemed that the program was the same as opening day, no big shot down on the first time, but a hard shot down on #2. I liked the 2 shots down, it's much more intense that way. We did both of the "watercoasters" (I believe their called) multiple times, they both are fast and quite fun. Did many of the flats, and the obligatory fascination games.
We left around 6, way earlier than we planned, but everyone was extremely tired. We worked very long days on the 5th because of fireworks at Fun Spot, and also worked sat and sun, so everyone was beat. We all had fun, and plan to do this again very soon.
Also, a side note, I decided to try Dramamine for the first time. I took one, and it helped to a point. I only wanted one for the first day so I didn't get myself sick or have a nasty side effect. I may try 2 when I go to the Three Rivers Festival midway this week or next. It's close to home, so if something happens, it's not a biggie.
Well, if you've stuck it through, thanks for reading. IB is one of my favorite parks, and I reccomend to anyone a visit if they are questioning the idea.

Nice TR, I'll be headin' up August 1st and 2nd. As far as LoCoSuMo goes, how rough is it? Mean Streak rough, not as rough, rougher? Was it enough to create a headache, or just some shaking and bumping?

LoCoSuMo isn't 'rough' as is poorly-maintained coaster rough. It is rough as in hairpin turn, quick dip-and-bounce, don't talk-cuz-you-might-bite-your-tongue-off rough. It's a whole different genre.

The CPlaya 100--6 days, 9 parks, 47 coasters, 2037 miles and a winner.....LoCoSuMo.
When my daughter and I rode it a couple of weeks ago, man was it VIOLENT. It was a big help to have the heavily padded seats though.
The ride would be more fun for me if it would continue in a smooth motion through the course. I did not care for the start-stop jerking feel of the ride. Man CoastaPlaya I think you have described the ride very correctly.......good job.
