What did you win, free passes to CP or what?

Oh yeah, good job for you wining!!!

"OnPoint is turning 1 year old on June 24, and we want you to celebrate with us! We'll choose 50 winners to join us for 30 minutes of exclusive ride time on Millennium Force on Saturday, June 24 before the park opens to the general public. Each winner will be allowed to bring 1 guest. Early ride time will be from 8:30 a.m. until 9 a.m."

It's somthing....

^ Hey, at least it is free.
Right!

Oh! And I had already planned to be up there June 27th til early August.. so don't get the idea I'm gonna spend hundreds of dollors, for a half our.

Sorry it's not free. The only thing really won is a half hour more in the park to ride just MF. Not that it's a bad thing of course. I would take as many rides on MF as possible before the crowds got there. Here's what it says on the blog....

"Only 50 winners will be chosen randomly from all of the entries. Each person is responsible for his/her own admission."

I guess thats what happens when you spend 1.2 billion on several parks...you can't afford free admission to your contest winners. Thats kind of sad actually. Cedar Point is actually gaining from this contest because many of these people probably wouldn't be at the park that day if they hadn't have won. So not only are they getting a few more people to pay to get into the park, they are also getting the money they spend while they are there. They got a pretty good scam going. If this works out for them, we will probably see more contests like this in the future.

If I won ERT on Millennium Force, you're darn tootin' I wouldnt complain about the $39.95 admission. Way to go Keith. . .

Fate is the path of least resistance.

^ I have never been to CP, or to Ohio at all, but the addmition is only $39.95.

But Six Flags is $50 addmition.

If you don't already have a CF season pass you deserve to have to ante up the admission.

Congrats on the win. Sounds like fun.

What us addmition? And why is Six Flags charging $50 for this?

If you pay full price for a SF ticket you are an idiot. They make it so easy for you to NOT have to pay $50.

Just sayin'.

A little harsh there X?
Heh. I was afraid somebody might take it that way. It wasn't meant to be harsh. I figured since nobody in this thread actually said they'd paid full price, it wouldn't be so bad since it wasn't actually directed at anybody in particular. Maybe "idiot" was the wrong choice but I couldn't think of another word.

Sorry if it came off that way, but it is true. Six Flags has these insane ticket prices, but they have coupons everywhere for you to get a significant portion off the price or 2 for 1.

Again, it wasn't directed at anybody. Just a general statement.

I never had paid full price. I always get a $10 to $20 discount from my uncle for SFMM. I also use the discounts on the $10 from the Coke cans at other Six Flags parks. I also my neighbor in San Antonio was a general manager of SFFT, so he gave me a discount on my season passes.

I paid $50 for a Six Flags season pass through AAA for Geauga Lake. That includes parking!
^ For parking you can drop everybody off at the gate about 45 minutes before it opens and then you have the driver park down the street and walk to the gate.
Congrats bro. Have fun and hopefully you will catch many rides with 32 a train on that thing.

Congrats Keith!

I would never pay full price for a SF ticket. That's why they invented season passes. :-P

Coupons help as well.
