I think I just got screwed on eBay

Guess what, I was hunting around on eBay and I found an awesome deal! $53 for DDRMax and 2 of those mats. He had a very good reputation and it said he was a register Business Dealer from Cyphersource. The pads it showed have blinking lights, are these the ones we are looking at or no? God I hope I didn't get screwed, that was my first eBay transaction.

But here's the problem, just found out that Cyphersource doesn't even exist! Was I duped? *trembles nervously*

Do you have a link, or has it been taken down already? I can't tell you much without actually seeing the pads, but I know from experience that pads w/ flashing lights are generally bad news.

Edit: Myself and some of my friends bought from that guy and the stuff he sold me is awesome. You definately didn't buy the highest quality pads, and chances are they aren't arcade sized. But if your just starting out they should be decent.

The flashing light is at the top where the cord is. When you step on an arrow, it turns on a little red light. A buddy of mine has had those pads since Christmas and they're holding up just fine.

From that link, it looks like the guy has a pretty convincing auction. Being an avid eBayer myself, it's amazing to me to see how one little click can buy almost anything in the world.

This being one of your first auctions, it can be hard not to trust it. But once the DDR package arrives in your mail, then you'll think "Wow, that is so cool" and you'll be hooked.

The guy has 15412 successful transactions - a yellow shooting star, which is really trustworthy. I've bought/sold from people with 0 feedback and still have had success with them. The guy is probably worried about you not paying him because you have 0 feedback, more than you're worried about him.

It was PayPal credit card, I payed him instantly. ;)

Dude, hate to tell you this, but I played those pads once and they are messed up. They were always wrinkling up and the buttons kept getting stuck on. Maybe it was because they were well-used.... I hope so....

Well the guy seems very professional about this, I got a tracking number from him and everything. Even if the pads suck I still got the game and can buy a decent pad when I have the money.

Yeah, I can tell you from experience that he is really professional and is a great seller. I'd be more than willing to bet that those pads aren't going to be the best of quality, but if you're cool with that then you're all set.

And if worst comes to worst, I could just sell the pads to one of my friends for like $5 each and still make more money than I paid. ;) Then go and get something quality.
