maybe I like getting abused by wood coasters I dont know. anybody else actually like this ride?
I love it!!!

True of all great coasters of the past and present, and future
it's a ride you'll remember for the rest of your lifeand probably will want to ride again.
I rode it last fall and I enjoyed it. It wasn't nearly as bad as some people say. With some work I think it could be really good.
If you had fun, that's a great thing. That's the point.

I was prepared to dislike it from what I had heard, but it is not a bad ride . Certainly not as uncomfortable as Big Dipper at WoA.
I enjoyed it this summer. A little rough, but I thought it had some decent airtime.

I personally didn't like it, but that's my opinion. If you liked it, GREAT. That's why the ride is there, to amuse people.

I like the turn out over the lake...

So many coasters - so little time.
You asked if liking Hercules was a bad thing, well I wouldn't say liking any coaster is a bad thing, but personally myself I think it was one of the worst woodies I've ever ridden! The layout is totally boring, the only decent part would have been the first drop and the turnaround over the lake, but the first drop is ruined by two trim brakes, and the turnaround has more brainshaking than the headbanger's ball!

I find that when I am prepared to dislike a coaster due to an onslaught of negative comments from enthusiast, the ride turns out to be fun. I was bracing for pain on Mean Streak and it never came. I hopped back in line and rode again. On Ninja at SFoG I was scared to ride it because I'd heard it was so bad. I rode in the back seat and it wasn't really that bad at all.
yeah i have to agree that i love hard head bangin wooden coasters. maybe cause im young and all the people who complain about the roughness are old??i hink herc is a good woodie, however it doesnt live up to its potential. but in the years to come im sure dorney has some rerouting and reprofiling in mind 4 this coaster.
I agree with Grant. I have ridden Hercule's before the brakes were installed at the top of the first drop, and it was a much more enjoyable coaster. It had alot of speed and power. I still enjoy the first drop, but the rest of the ride is boring. When visiting Dorney I always ride it at least one time. I personally think almost any coaster is worth at least a ride(cept for the kiddie variety.)
I'm 17, not too old, and I thought Hercules was terrible. When you have about 4 or 500 acers having ert on something and there is 3 people on the platform there is something wrong. I think if they could have run it without the brakes only during ert it could have been a much better ride.
Everyone says its rough but i love the ride and ride it about twice every time i go. i think it might even me better then Talon.
Anyone who likes Hercules should look under the yellow pages under "Therapist". Next, you should turn in any coaster club memberships you have. Seriously, after two rides on that last week, it felt like someone had punched me repeatedly in the chest. It was trimmed to death, slow, and it hurt for a good 20 minutes afterward. It was so much better in 95', when they didn't brake the first drop so hard. Thunderhawk may be smaller at Dorney, but it's so much better. If you liked Hercules, you're allowed that, but there are so many other, better woodies in the area, like Twister and Phoenix at Knoebels, or Comet, Wildcat, and Lightning Racer at Hershey.

I always enjoy a ride on Hercules. I didn't know that it was supposed to be "bad" before I started listening to coaster "enthusiasts."

I hear that. I try to find redeeming qualities in all coasters, but this one has NONE. This ride is beyond rough.

Dayuum, Your HOT!
What the hell does it matter whether the ride isn't LOVED by all? It makes no difference. Everyone complains too much about rides (even me). After all I thought we are enthusiasts, not critics..
Question: was it fun?
Answer: Yes
thats all that matters

PCW needs something taller than a boomerang
Hercules was fun--- I enjoyed the drop down over the water.
