I have a problem!

When I load RCT2 I get the main screen, that asks if I want to play or do a tutorial, on my desktop. Then I click play. It goes through it's first loading bar fine. Then i goes to the black screen and the second load bar comes up, on my game it gets through about 4 blocks then stops and repeats itself again and again. Until I restart my computer. If anyone has some suggestions or if it happened to you and you know how to fix it that would help a lot thanks!

Have either of you tried the RCT 2 patch? It is supposed to fix certain problems that occur when the game is starting up.

Then why don't you contact *GASP* the manufacturer of the game for official support???

[walking away shaking my head in disbelief...]

I have e-mail the game support and he is currently trying to find out how to fix it. I have e-mailed him 3 times w/ 3 replies that didn't work.

Just because I didn't say I e-mailed game support does not mean that I didn't. Think to yourself would you e-mail infogrames game support if you a question about the game not working. I thought of that first.

I assume you have enough memory to run the game? I had some initial problems as well, but after I made my hubby uninstall some of his games from my PC, most of the problems went away. The rest went away when I added more memory.

I have the same problem. I have upgraded all my drivers and installed the patch, I even returned the game for another one, but I can't get passed the start screen. I also have enough ram and memory, but it still don't work. At ina-support.com they told me that if nothing works they could replace it with a different game. I told them that I have every game of RCT that they have put out and I didn't buy RCT2 to have it replaced with something elce.

Some machines are not compatible with the CD copy protection scheme that they encoded RCT2 in. Have you tried looking for the "No CD crack" and tried that?

I had problems wirth memory than I had to uninstall a couple of things to get it to work. None of the older games gave me these problems that this one does.

what do you mean by "no CD crack"?

It allows you to run the game without the CD being checked for the copy protection. Search the web with the phrase "Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 no cd crack" you will find some sites that have it.

One place to look is http://www.gamecopyworld.com
