I desperately need this answered.

When is the Tornado at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Dallas going to open? I'm talking about the one in Arlington, Texas. I'm trying to plan a trip down there with friends to ride it. How is it, by the way? Is it the funnel and then the pool, or is it like Zinga with the tunnel first then the funnel?

The waterpark opens May 28th. If you're desperate to get an answer now I suggest you call the park and ask.

The website, as far as I could tell, is inconclusive and only says that Tornado opens "in the Spring." Officially that's anytime before June 21st.

Good point. I ran into the same crap with lack of dates as I planned by trip to SFNE. Stupid Six Flags...

You think that's bad, try SFOG's website. As of yesterday you could not get hours for any month past May!

It's my understanding it's a smaller version of Zinga, which by the way, opens for the season on May 15. :)

Hey, I would too. And, I promise, I will try my best to come Ride Zinga this year, as I've yet to visit Holiday world.....:(

These rides ARE very fun....*funner* (funnel) than MOST other water rides IMO. The *trick*, as it were, is to SPREAD your weight evenly across the maximum surface area of the tube, so that you get minimal friction, maximum speed, and HEIGHT into the funnel! :)

You need this desperately answered, but you live in Ft. Worth, TX?! Drive down there and ask them!

I hope the website info is correct that TheRealCP can wear shorts and a tshirt instead of a bathing suit. She's not much into water, but I hope to at least get her on a slide or two.

I keep the website updated with only *correct* information. :) (My oldest son laughs at me, that his mom is turning into a Code Monkey.)

Not to worry -- we don't hassle the shirts/shorts crowd in the water park.
