I came, I saw, and I conqured the Son of Beast!

One word for the Son of Beast. AWESOME! The lift hill was loud and intense. I thought to myself "What the heck am I doing on this thing!"
Then the lift sped up and the train crested the 214ft. drop. Before I knew it we were speeding at about 78mph. The first helix was awesome. It did get rough at some points, but other than that it kicked major butt. Next we headed toward the loop. The drop into the loop was also insane and the loop itself was one of the best loops I've been on. the second helix was just like dear old Dad's helix. The little ending there was cool.

Now the bad part of the ride. Well, it was really the train's seat that I didn't like. Premier Rides probably forgot that people who are 6' 5" tall would ride it. I had to cross my legs in order to be comfy. My only small injury was my left kneecap. It kept hitting that bar that you hold on to during the ride. I think it's bruised. Other than that the coaster itself was an excellent woodie.

hey beastmaster im 6' 5" also. Were gonna hav to buy some knee pads or somting. the same thing happened to me on many other coasters.
I don't think either of you will be able to ride Superman ROS. I know there is a height restriction on it at SFA. I'm not sure if its 6'5" or 6'6". Sorry you had to hear that dudes.

Parks hit for 2000!
PKD,BGW,Knoebels,Dorney,Hershey,PKI,HW,SFKK,SFA, Camden
Son of beast is a great ride, but is entirely too rough. Is the park still only running one train?
My 6'6" friend just made it onto Superman : ROS at SFA. Of course he slouched a little when they brought at the height measuring stick.

Well, I am *only* 6'4" so I guess I am good to go.

Gotta ride 'em all!
Insane Rider, the park was running one train today. A maintainence worker was working on one of the other trains though. I just wish Premier Rides would make their trains a little more roomier.

Luvcedarpoint, do you know if the park would let me wear a pair of knee pads? (LOL):)

Can you take me Higher? ("Higher" by the band CREED) *** This post was edited by THE BEASTmaster on 6/3/2000. ***
Wow, after hearing all of the heights on this board I feel short at 6ft 2 inches. I feel your pain though. Some coasters just suck when it comes to leg room. Your knees almost become a permanent fixture to the ride after its over. The pictures I have seen for SOB look awesome. That is alot of lumber!!!!
I thought that SOB lived up to it's namesake once I rode it. I wish PKI could get their act together and get it up and running full time. The last I heard SOB opens daily at 1 PM, with one train running. PKI has said that they are fine tuning the track in the morning.
They could make a mint selling SoB Knee-Pads at their souvenier shop! :)
That would work. Cause I'd surely could've used them Friday. OUCH! (LOL)!

Can you take me higher? (CREED)
I was so upset!!! I went on 5/31 and it was STILL shut down! I am a coaster fanatic, as I am sure you all are, so PKI was still good, but AHHHH!!!
Personally, I want to visit PKI. In the Detroit area, I've been a CP fan all my life. 5 hours is a little too far to go without staying overnight. Anyway, this park is #1 on my list of parks to go to. I would LOVE to ride SoB. And not to mention OL:FOF There's no CP grudge here. I say the more great parks, the better.

aIrtIme'S ovErRaTed..
I'll tell you this...I live in the Dayton area, 45 - 50 mins. North of PKI. I've gone there 5 times and have only gotten to ride it twice(both in the same day) :( But I tell you.... It is worth the wait. We've gone over this a million times before but the PR that SOB is bringing PKI is mostly bad! But Take this from me I've ridden both the front and back and was worth the total 5 hours and 30 mins. that I waited (2 hours for the front, 3:30 for the back). I also got a nice tour of the back of the park during the walkback! (Went under Face/Off while testing) I tell everyone who wants to know about the ride that it is a ride they should ride! As PKI says, "If the Father scared you, then waited for the Son!" Great quote for the ride! I agree with BeastMASTER, it is a very intense ride! I think the best part of the ride is the climb and loop. I love when they turn on the afterburners for the chain hill! (Very loud!) So if you haven't had the chance to ride it, you should make the time to do ride it!

Ride Front if:
1) You like to see where you’re going
2) You like the wind in your face
3) You like a semi-smooth ride

Ride Back if:
1) You want the most intense ride ever
2) You like rough and wild woodies
3) You like the extra speed in a ride in the back!

*Note* To all of the CP people who had said that PKI ride ops have no personality.... and I hate to agree but you're right! I payed more attention to the ride ops the last time I went... (5/29) I was a little upset that they didn't want to talk to you! Then only time I got someone to talk to me it was when all the other G.P. (general public) was yelling him at because SOB was down for like 3 mins! The only reason he talked to me was because I wasn't complaining about the ride! So I believe that they are just tried of the constant complaing for the G.P.

So my suggestion to all the G.P out there....
