I got my share of rides on XLC today. Let me just say that was one wonderful ride! The launch really takes your breath away. And the top of the hill has some intense, sustained airtime.
The ride is incredibly smooth. I guess the aircraft tires have something to do with it. (If only the airplane I fly would go from 0 to 80 so quickly!)
My largest complaint is that the ride is so darn short. The ride is over in just a few seconds. But boy, what wonderful seconds those are!
Today was only one train (eight seats) so the line moved very slowly. The good news is that more trains are on the property and will be added over the next weeks. I think XLC's capacity should be about 900 an hour when they get everything running.
I don't think that the ride had any problems today except one rollback that I got to see. I only wish that I had been on that train because they have a great story to tell now! The ride was back accepting passengers after about a 12 minute delay.
I did see a couple guys in lawn chairs taking notes today. And one had an S&S sweatshirt. I look forward to their next creation!!!!
