Hypersonic XLC question?

I was wondering about the ride time of HyperSonic XLC. According to some friends of mine(non coaster buffs) the ride is only 17 seconds. They didn't actually go on it cuz the line was 4 hours long, just counted how long it took. Can anyone whose been on it clearify how long it is?

Thanks

From launch to brakes that is about right, but I GUARANTEE it will be the most thrilling 17 seconds of your life. It is one of the most intense (and SMOOTH) coasters ever!

Also, when I was there, the wait was actually about half of what the people at the entrance were saying. It's worth it, don't pass it up!

Sure a half hour is the actual wait but with break downs it takes much longer. When I was there the break down took at least a half hour but it happend twice. At least a couple people got out of the line but I wouldnt budge.
We also timed the ride and it averages about 17 seconds. But like Peabody said, it is the most thrilling 17 seconds around! I didn't understand why people who had just got off of it were so excited and telling me how great it was and were actually acting very "hyper". Then I got my turn and I understood.

In my experience, the wait is never as long as they tell you it is going to be, unless of course there are breakdowns. Add in the breakdowns, then maybe the total wait will be what they told you.

Anyone know if they're running multiple trains yet??

I was just about to post the same question.
Are they running multiple trains? And did it break down this past weekend? And how long are the wait times now?

I may plan a trip in June, and I'm not going to do it unless they have 3 trains running. I have to fly, rent a car, and book a hotel, and I was thinking of bringing my daughter. It would be a shame if I flew all the way up there and it was broken or only running 1 train with a long wait.

Anyone have an update?
I plan on going back this Saturday. I will see how many trains are running and if the breakdown/wait time situation has improved. (I also want to scope out the Express Line deal to see if they have started it and if it works.)

Will keep you posted.
