I think its going to be pretty tight and a very unique experience. When they build one at Cedar Point, I will know for sure

Best Coaster: Millennium Force
Worst Coaster: Project Stealth
Hey, I think that Cedar Point will get a thrust air...hopes too high?
It follows with the trend of short coasters @ PKD.....Shockwave, Volcano, Ol...

-------------
Drachen Fire, Will it be swimming with the fishies?

I plan to ride this Coaster if my friend comes with me to ride it...I'll become chicken, I tend to do that!

I'm going the Day it opens because my mom wants her Beanie Babies...LoL!

Definately interesting - it's fascinating how they keep trying to come up with new and ever more unique ideas for coasters. Who knows what's next! I'd love to try the XLC, but probably not this year - we'll see!

The launch is going to own. The ascent up the tower will be awesome. The vertical drop down will be very cool. The rest will be very boring.
I'll let everyone know in a bit over a week...

I'll be there weekend after next too. Oh how I am counting the days!
Can anyone confirm testing is or has taken place? I saw completed photos of it a long time ago. Considering how much testing they did to it in Utah, I doubt testing is/was too major in VA.

BTW, anyone see pics of the trains with lapbars and no OTSRs? It looks AWSOME!

Where can you see pics of Hypersonic? Someone please. . .send us a link!!
On what date is Hypersonic opening?
You know what is cool and unique about this ride? The fact that they can launch the car up a hill and still claim it as a full circuit coaster. The makers of this ride have said its not far off for them to make a 300ft plus version. Full circuit ride and a well over 300 ft hill with little space to accomplish this(thats in the future) is a remarkable accomplishment(if they can do it).

I agree Chitown. This thing is for sure a full circuit rollercoaster! Your post said that it get's launched up a hill. From the video I'v e seen of it Hypersonic actually get's launched entirely on ground level. The ascent up the hill is after the acceleration occurs. I can't wait to feel the Gs on the pull up that hill on the 24th!

If anyone missed it, the latest issue of Wired had an AWSOME cover story on Hypersonic. S&S is installing a TA2K in Japan also this year that goes 107 in around 4 seconds I believe it said. Does anyone know what park in Japan that is going to? I'm going to be there again in September and want to ride it!

(The article also talked about a new generation space shot. Now the description was vague but it sounds like an arch shape. Like if you got launched up the red side of Power Tower and came down upside down on the blue side, and went back. Like I said, the description wasn't totally solid, but in the article Stan Checketts said one will be openening this spring!)

i hope if hypersonic is successful they will be popping up at other paramount parks (hint hint PGA ;))

are you ready to go vertical?...V2 SFMW 2001 ...
Peobody, I meant launched as in launched without a lift hill. I know its from ground level to get the speed going. I cant wait to see what they have in store next.

I don't see the hype of this coaster. To me it really doesn't look all that exciting and kinda looks as if it's going to be painful in the neck and back area. So in my honest option, this is going to a flop.

Okay if you call a bunny hop taken at about 60mph boring, we will just have to agree to disagree. Other than that, there is no rest to be boring. The ride will just be over. :)
