HyperSonic Running 3 Trains!

I went to PKD today (No Surprise There) and went straight for Hypersonic around 2 when I arrived after 2 trips on Beserker. ^^ Anywho, I went into line and realized it was running much faster.

Behind me were these two ladies, who were really into Roller Coasters as well. We chatted for awhile or they wanted to know about Hypersonic since it will be my ninth time riding. So, one of them said, Hey...They are running 3 trains. I was like whoa! Then I noticed that other loading bay open as well. Nice Job PKD!

Those 2 ladies said they were here once, so I hope they see this! Has anyone ever seen HSXLC with 3 Trains before?

Parks for 2001: SFEG, Lakeside,Funtown USA, Palace Playland, HP,BGW,PKD,Alton Towers.

The wait was 1.5 hours since a break down occured...but otherwise, we moved right along.

I personally didn't find it exciting that Hypersonic was running 3 trains today, as it broke down several times, including while I was in line near the end of the night. Oh well.

So how much downtime has that coaster had so far? I know its a first-of-its-kind (installed anyway) and I was wondering what kind of problems it would have...

I was at the park saturday and they was only running two trains. Awesome job PKD

When I went back in April the ride was closed all day because they were supposidly adding the 4 trains into the computer system. I went back up to the park from GA the next week and they were still running 2. Atleast I got to ride it the second trip, but it still broke down every 40mins and opened 3 hrs after the park did.

I would also like to know why they stack the trains when they are using two trains. While the first train is just pulled out of the station and is stopped on the turn the back one should pull up, or even when they are waiting for it to launch. The second train doesn't move to the front of the station and unboard until the other train is back in the station. The previous then gives Hypersonic about 100 riders an hour. Something Millennium Force can accomplish in less that 10minutes.

IOArules, why are you comparing MF to H:XLC? The capacity is definitely much greater than 100 riders per hour.
