Hypersonic problems revealed......

While we were there last June, the ride ops were only putting people in the first two seats, after we had ALL been waiting for a LONG time. The op told us we didn't want to ride with the trains full, he was doing us a favor by only sending them out with 2 people on them. After we told him he was crazy, we should all get to fill the trains, it was unfair to make everybody wait that much longer, they loaded them to 8.

Anyways, will the restarint remain the same? I found them a little overkill, but could there not be a little less of the leg locking? The only pain I found was from not being able to move my legs, they're just a weird restraint, lol. Other than that, the air was there, I know some others complained about the restraints & the Gs. I had heard they were minimal restraints, but upon boarding, it's like something out of sciece fiction, IMHO.

With Hypersonic getting new trains, I'm wondering... Has anyone heard anything about Dodonpa having any problems? (To clear things up, I haven't, which is why I'm asking.)

-----------------

Hypersonic isn't getting new trains, just having it's trains reworked.

My Japanese friends tell me they have heard of no problems with Dodonpa. When I was at Fujikyu, I could see MANY improvements that were visible from around the ride. (Not new elements, but various improvements that would help the reliability of the ride)

The article says something about the changes getting the ride up this season, with the train fix, & NEW trains for 2003, with other mods to the ride(?).......

at least it's a start, better info than there WAS, but IF things happen according to the Screamscape article, that would make the ride different every year for three years in a row, a little strange, maybe the "hill job" isn't a rumor after all, it just may happen later.

When does everyone think it will open I'm going in mid August.
