Hypersonic closed again

i was at pkd on saturday and there was a sign in front of hypersonic saying it would be closed for the day.. later on in the day i saw a crane taking out a huge wheel from under the track which probably had something to do with the launching... so it looks like it wont be open for a while until they get a replacement part for it

Well fiddly dee! Thank God I was able to ride it on the 3rd...Although Volcano was closed for the whole day. I somehow felt I didn't miss much

Hmmmmmmm, I'm kinda curious why this ride breaks down all the time, so glad PKI won't be getting one.

good news! I guess the DC trip will HAVE to include a "quick jaunt" to PKI.....Hypersonic, the new mouse (blah, but hey), and the junior woodie I've somehow never seen before.....

My suggestion is scour the Coasterbuzz club park listings and rcdb.com and work up multiple itineraries if you can. The CPlaya 100 had multiple options in case of breakdowns and trust me, I had to use them.

The first and final days had to be changed on the fly to make #100 a good one.

RCDB.COM will kinda tell you (though not in exact distance) what parks are near the parks you are trying to get to.

You might find a 'timeless wonder' here and there that you never thought of or heard about.

This was very important to me because I had (coincidentally) never been on any clones and decided to keep it that way through my first 100.

I kept a running tally and made decisions based on my numbers and known options.

So if Hypersonic isn't up, you gotta pick something else. Figure out what you'd like it to be and how you'd arrange your visits so that alternate, unique and special coaster will be #100.

BTW, check weatherchannel.com for an extended forecast before you go and watch it nightly before you go to bed. Nothing changes plans quite like a good thunderstorm. Keep track of your reservation cancellation deadlines and be aware of your alternatives for booking rooms somewhere else if your plans change. Go fully prepared.

Then cross your fingers and hit the road.

Ya but I can't get there I live in Jersey. Just a question. Why would they open it and announce it on there website then close it right down. Also Anyone could give me some more info I would appreciate it. Sean F, didn't you say you were going to go. You usually have a lot to say in your trip reports

Saying, "Hypersonic is closed again" is like saying "The sun rose again." I expected so much from the TA2K, I hope the other models are doing okay

There is only one other mmodel. I thought Dodonpa would have more problems becasue of the 106.9 mph launch but it's not. Does anyone know the age limit on Dodonpa. And could someone please help me!!!
