Wow! No one seems to remeber the week that Storm Runner was closed last season. They had a hydraulic motor break, and had to wait on a new one to be installed. As far as reliable, rockets will become more reliable as time marches on. And as far as Kingda Ka, unless you ride it , dont judge it. I felt it was nothing but hype myself, but after this past tuesdays trip to Great Adventure Kingda Ka really impressed me, and not only to my seat.
I would like to see more Magnums and MFs built in parks rather than more 15 second TTDs.
...Although I really liked SR a lot.
Does Xcelarator suffer from problems too? Also as for hypers I doubt it a lot of parks have height limits right at the 200-250 mark so I dunno.
Thanks, DMC
Not much anymore. But it sure did when it opened.
The hypercoaster gone forever? No, BGT got a hyper this year, and a park will probably get one next year. There production has dropped in past years unfortunatly. The intamin hypercoaster is about as good as roller coasters get if you ask me.
The "hypercoaster" that BGT got is not the kind of hypercoaster that we are referring to. Yes, of course the height of 200 feet will be breeched, but we are referring to the traditional hypercoaster i.e. Magnum.
