Hyper Rails Released?

On the Hyper Rails website, it says that the game ships on August 28. Is this game available in stores yet? I know that Amazon says that its available there to ship in two days. However, I remember hearing that it didn`t come out until the first week in September. Thanks for the help.

I think I read that it would be in stores by the first or second week in september,it was in fact shipped to retail outlets on august 28th.

It takes time for the shipments to actually arrive in the stores so have patience it will arrive at a computer software shop near you sooner or later. :-)

Shipments usually are sent overnight, I think. But, as of today, none of the major software retailers in my area have it on the shelf.

I was looking for it, but still to no avail.

I'm not sure what section to look for it in, but I would assume near the crappy Cosater simulations of years past (3D Rollercoaster Designer anyone?), as well as Rollercoaster Tycoon & Sim Coaster, since it's kind of a simulation.

I'd just like to know if Best Buy, Media Play, & CompUSA will carry that product as opposed to just Babbages, Software Etc, & Electronics Botique.

Anyone know for sure?

I would think that Best Buy would recieve the title. I don't know for sure but I would think so.

I would think & hope that any store which sell computer software & games such as RCT will be more than willing to add HR to their list of titles to choose from.

I checked today at Best BUy because I saw on the Coastergames website already put in a Hyper Rails section.

I got my copy from the developer, so it really does exist. I assume it's on the way to stores now. It was my first look at the final software, and I'm going to revise my preview to a full review soon.

Granted, I'm a little biased because it has a certain sound of mine in it. Launch an Intamin inverter and see if you can figure out what ride it is. ;)

Anyone know if its going to wal-mart or best buy? The malls in my area always have things much more expensive, and thats where all the gaming stores are.

I don't remember if Best Buy picked it up or not. Regardless of where you buy it, it's going to be $30. New releases are never any cheaper at Best Buy.

There's a list of stores on the Hyper Rails website. I don't remember seeing Best Buy listed. But that doesn't mean they wouldn't carry it later at some point.

As for shipping overnight...well companies do drop ship the more anticipated (i.e. hot sellers) games directly to the stores, but a game like this which only is known amongst our little coaster community would most likely not get that sort of treatment. Instead, it would be sent to the store's central distribution warehouse where it may sit a few business days until a delivery is scheduled for a particular area/store. Since we are in a holiday weekend add a few more days to the time. So the 1 week estimate after shipping on the Hyper Rails website should be pretty close. I'd say by mid-week it should start showing up in a few stores. And by the 6th or 9th most places should have received by then if they ordered it. Ask your local store. They will know what day(s) they usually get their deliveries.

Looks like it has finally been released! I just got my email
from EBGames.com saying my order has shipped. They are also listing the product on their site as "ships in 24 hours." Finally! I've been aching to tinker with digital coasters some more. I have No Limits, but it takes way too long to do exactly what you want to a coaster. I'm hoping thats not the case with HR

I will be getting mine tomarrow i pre - ordered it at electronic botique!!!!!

I'm gonna be looking for it in stores ASAP,fourtunately for me there's an Electronics boutique over at Manassas mall which is down the road a ways from my place,there's also a Best Buy right up the street from me as well so I'll have to check to see if they've got it yet.

All I need now is 30 bucks and I'm all set,but with my B-day coming up at the end of this month I'll just ask if I can get it then.

Checked at a Babbages-type game outlet at the mall today. $30 bucks, available tomorrow (9/4)
