edit: So I guess that means the campground is full? Not that I'm surprised with it being a big holiday weekend and all.

Simple! I do it ALL the time.

*Many hotels do require you to cancel withing a certain time period, i.e. by noon that day or one day prior for example. Make sure to check each hotel's policy. Unless you're using Priceline or other bid/auction prepay site you reservation[s] can be cancelled.

So, unless there is going to be a central location for a post-ERT party, I've no need to stick around. Even then, unless it's at the campground I probably wouldn't stick around anyway.
If my buddy in Vincennes (or Robo) can't/won't go, I'll just hit HW some other weekend. Only 3.5 hours away! :)
Part of me would rather spend that weekend somewhere else:

So tempting, for me anyway. ;)

Within 50 miles of Holiday World there are Eight Caves that are open to the Public for tours, and within 50 miles of Beech Bend Park there is Mammoth Cave National Park and at least nine other Caves that are open for tours! :)

Actually 4 or less, depending on how fast I want to drive. ;-) So when is HW going to start marketing in Southern WV Paula? I can't do the work all by myself. ;-) I will keep sending peeps your way, though.
Lousiville would be the best bet, depending on what parks you want to do.

Seriously, Mammoth Cave is pretty cool. As a geology student in undergrad I had the opportunity to visit many areas of that cave system that are off limits to the general masses. Not sure I'd want to go back to some of those areas in my, now, enlarged state. :)
Mmmmm, Karst topography, mmmmmm
