Huss Jumps

Has anyone ever ridden a huss jump? I really wanted to ride great adventure's over the summer, but of course that an evolution, the two coolest looking flat rides in the park were closed...grr!  But anyway, if you have ridden one, how thrilling are they? What's the ride like? How does it compare to other flats like frisbees and top spins?

"you give me the most gorgeous sleep that i've ever had and when it's really bad i guess it's not that bad" Underneath it all- no doubt
I would describe the Jump as one of the scariest flats out there. From the ground, when you watch the arms jump up, it is very scary. But, once on board you don't really notice it that much. Then, the scariest part is the cars which spin around at a frightening speed. Since the arms are at an angle also, it feels like the pods may break off at any minute. Highly recommended.

Until you get a parking space with your own name on it, you're still part of the GP.

What is a jump?

I really don't understand what they do at all. The picture I have in my head is something similar to Triple Play at SFGAm, but it can't be that. I saw a drawing of it once, but I didn't see how it moved. Does anyone have pics of one in action or can anyone explain what they do?

As a fortunate soul who has ridden both the Jump and Evolution, you should cross your fingers and hope they're open when you go.

The Jump's design and the movie doesn't do this ride justice. It pays to keep your head back because it spins at a frightening rate after each rise and drop. If you get an outside seat (near the opening of the pod), the feeling that you'll fall out is very strong.

Ahhhh, the Huss Jump.  How do I love thee?  I ride this contraption every chance I get!  The G-Forces are crazy, if you ride it right, you can even get some quick pops of airtime!  One of the greatest ever.  It spins fast as hell!

Evolution...now THERE'S an excellent ride!  I rode this thing every time I saw it open...it's basially an Enterprise on Steroids!  The Nauta Bussink model is different than the Fabbri model, though.  So, if you've ridden the Fairground model (Fabbri), you haven't had the pure pleasure of what Evolution was made for in the permanent models (Nauta Bussink).  SFGAdv has the Nauta Bussink version and it is GREAT!

If you see me running, try and keep up!

I rode the jump at Great Adventure the first year that it opened whan they built like 25 new rides (including Madusa).  It was one of the most exciteing rides I've been on in a long time.  What I liked the most about it was that you can't see the tower when you're at the top and the big suprise when you fall.  You are faceing others on the ride and seeing there expressions is very funny.
