HUSS is kaputt

Huss, In one form or another has gone bankrupt several times over the years.

Trust me, Their not gone.

^^I dunno about that I-Fan,SFA's falling star sure throws me for a good loop whenever I've ridden it lately.
There are a couple articles in German newspapers about the situation.

Use a service like Google Translate to see it in (broken) English. *** Edited 8/5/2006 4:05:26 PM UTC by PhantomTails***

I don't ever recall hearing about an accident in South America. What do you know Comet Rider? Was it on a traditional Rainbow, or in the modified form like Hershey had?

I never did get the reasoning behind the multi-extensive Breakdance modifications at SFA and SFGADV either. I looked online many years ago and came up empty.

BFSFA, Falling Stars aren't bad, but Rainbows are a lot more intense gForce-wise in all directions.

Uh, Screaming Swing is an S&S ride. You might want to put that thought into the topic about S&S going out of business.
That's what I get for not paying attention to what I type. I meant a Giant Frisbee like maXair.

Actually, I just read in a trip report that SFNE's Breakdance is down as well. I'm wondering if the bankruptcy has lead to problems getting parts for the breakdance rides.

EDIT: It was SFNE's Breakdance that is down not SFGadv.

A day at the park is what you make it!

I've had the pleasure of riding a couple of rainbows in my day so I'm well aware of how intense they are....you get some pretty good air coming off those things too.

Makes you really appreciate the OTSR's on it too, because a simple lap bar arrangement found on the falling star would hardly be enough.

I've actually heard the same thing from "reliable sources"... it's a matter of wether or not S&S can get the financial backing to pull it off.

They'd be quite a force if it all comes together.

Hi

If you are a fan of the old Rolling Rock, skip the Busch parks and go to Idlewild. The "mountain spring" water that used to be in Rolling Rock actually flows through the park.

Back on topic: I hope some deal can be pulled off to save Huss. We need to keep those Enterprises in running condition.

This is the only reference to a HUSS Rainbow accident i can find, but it's definitely not that one. *** Edited 8/12/2006 12:53:58 PM UTC by Bazzanoid***

Not that it means anything, but their web-site is still up and running (I got on because I was just curious what other rides they made that I hadn't had the opportunity to ride).

Pity. Maxair is probably my favorite ride at CP, bar none, even the coasters.
Yeah, next time i go to CP, after hitting Magnum as I walk in, the next three that I would hit would be TTD, MF, then maXair. That's the only bad thing about parking by Soak City, it's such a long walk from there to the front (I know, I'm lazy).
