Week One....
Showmans Tradeshow (mini IAAPA) in Gibtown. Rode the new Chance Tower. OK. Awesome Dartron remake of Hurricane, dubbed 'Downdraft'. I was just a bit scared. I have placed in Forum what park bought one. Rode a great family figure 8 coaster that can be placed in your yard in about 6 hours. Wisdom and Zamperala were the big sellers.
Went to the Florida State Fair. Rode the KMG Feverball. I was on the prototype in London in Dec.99. The busiest ride there. Like an insane Huss frisbee. They had a great 'freakshow'. Worth $3. Great food. $4.50 milkshake was unnerving in the heat.
Busch Tampa. Outstanding. Scorpion, the Flume, and the Python were all beautiful and painted after 25 years. Smooth. Montu was a handful, crowd screamer. Gwazi is totally worth a trip. Left side a bit more rough than the right. Kumba packs the punch. Great views. Rapids Ride was soaking, and the coin-op geysers help the pain.
Train packed, so I hit the rennovated Skyride. Graet view of Rhino Rally under construction. The park runs an animated video of it at 'q' areas. The Dolphin Show is top notch. All the animal exhibits were entertaining. Pizza-good. Free beer-always a winner. Park is just beautiful. One thing. Kind of odd to be able to drive all around all four sides, unlike Busch Virginia.
Week Two.....
Universal Studios. Twister was pretty good. Especially when the seats fell out from under the guests. MIB is a great family ride. Jaws was always the pleaser. I had my camera this time. T-2 was delayed. No big thrill compared to MIB. Saw the Grinch props and the Bates Motel shop. Woo-Hoo. Love the Key Lime pie.
IOA. Words can't descride it. Spiderman. Well, Disney be-gone. The whole car was laughing. Hulk was intense. Popey's Bilge Rats was WET. I thought after climbing the lift that this a stinker. Reakized it was the halfway point. Got off soaked. Dudley Doo it RIGHT> Best Flume ever.
