Toys, props, tools and memorabilia move fast during a sale at the Hurlbut Amusement Co. in Buena Park. The workshop had built and refurbished carousels, miniature train rides and accessories for theme parks worldwide. Bud Hurbut died last year at the age of 92. he was friends with Walt Disney and Walter Knott.

Thanks for posting that, Jeff. I know it's mostly a "nostalgia piece" to many, but this is a man who truly helped shape the industry. I cannot recommend a trip to Castle Park highly enough....really , in many ways, Bud Hurlbut was the man who put the ideas of the dreamers into action. I wish Lonnie Lloyd all the success in the world - he clearly caught "the bug" from Bud.
