A Pittsburgh-area developer wants to build a 400 acre amusement park near the airport. The park would include all of the traditional elements, including a water park and indoor "snow dome" for year-round sledding. A representative from Kennywood thinks there's plenty of room for another park.

Longest overall track footage is of course Steel Dragon 2000, but since it goes about 30 mph faster than The Beast and doesn't have two lifts, it's going to finish faster. (OK, technically it does have two lifts but they're on the same hill...)
I suppose the other parks have room. Kennywood owns three other parks, plus rides and structures are always being replaced at Kennywood itself. Just a thought ya know?
Id also have to agree with kraxleridah in saying that this park, if built, will ultimatly become six flags pittsburgh, or pa. That just might be bad news for Kennywood.
Nope, no it wouldn't. I would personally prefer Kennywood over a Six Flags park any day, and I know there's a fair demographic of people (read: not 12-24) that would agree with me. Besides, a fair # of Pittsburghers have visited SFWOA... once. That same fair # of Pittsburghers visit Kennywood around once... a year.
I won't believe anything until I see it, but after looking at their website, this group appears to have funding for what amounts to very rough plans for an amusement park.
We'll see.
