How's Xcelerator running?

Going to Knott's tomorrow. Just curious how Xcelerator has been running lately. Pretty reliable?? How are the lines on Saturday evening? What should I expect if I get there after 4pm?

Thanks.

I heard get your rides in early, that it sometimes closes late in the day.. But I read stuff like that a while ago.

Ride the red train. Purple is a little rough and a little slow, but red hauls. Also, ride front seat. I didn't see Xcelerator break down at all while I was there a couple of weeks ago. I wouldn't know about crowds not being a local.

Xcrlerator never seems to have a very long line, and has been running very well lately.

Soggy, really? I figured with its limited capacity that Xcelerator would be the longest line in the park. I'll be heading out to Knott's next summer and will keep that in mind. So where are the lines the longest then? Do folks just hit Ghost Rider first?

Xcelerator still experiences downtime almost daily, usually in the mid-afternoon. I've ridden many times and have never felt any noticable difference between the trains.

No, Xcelerator really doesn't ever have too long of lines. Ghostrider on the other hand, does. So yeah, hit Ghostrider first in the morning, then walk over to Xcelerator. For the first 45 minutes to an hour, Xcel will be a walk on.

Like everyone has said, the ride is running everyday, but experiences some downtime almost every day. Sometimes it will last 15 minutes, other times a few hours. So its running much better than last summer, but its still not at its best mechanically.

Paris: yeah really. KBF is a more family oriented park and Xlr8r is a pretty intense ride, I think it just intimidates a lot of people. When both trains are running, the line moves pretty well, considering it's only a 20 seat train.

Ghostrider is typically the longest line in the park, but well worth the wait, whatever it is.

Thanks for all the input. went to the park yesterday at 4:30p (Sat) and had a blast!! Ghostrider absolutely rocks!!!! Rode twice with an average wait of 75min. Xcelerator kicks a**!! Rode the front (red) and the back (purple). Although you are extremely correct about the difference in the trains(red = faster, smoother), I'd have to say the best ride is in the back(more air, better xceleration off the tophat). The line was much shorter than Ghostrider, but with good reason. Ghostrider is simply the best wooden coaster I have ever experienced. What a gem! Perilous plunge was down all evening. Got 2 rides in on the log flume. 6 rides in 6 hours...not bad.
