How Windjammer is being removed...

www.westcoaster.net

Jim Disney (very much seems to get along quite well with Knott's authorities) of WestCoaster.Net reports that Windjammer's red station track has recently been removed. No, in fact, he words it as being MANGLED, such as holes in the track, bent steel, so on so on. So in other words, not a pretty sight. Which means that this thing is going to be a pile of weeds taken out by a weed wacker not by a set of caring hands of a gardner. This most likely is because after numerous, and numerous attempts to find a buyer, the ride has not been sold and is on the chopping block, and it makes it much easier and faster to remove, than slowly removing a bolt piece by piece.
Yes this is very much true! I was on Supreme Scream yesterday, and the red station track was literally torn from the other track. I don't think that Knotts would do this if they were planning to sell it.
As an employee, I was around before the park was open, and you should have heard the tractors just smashing away at the ride and its station! At that point, I figured they aren't deconstructing, just destroying! SOunds like more fun to me.

A nasty death for a nasty coaster.

I dance like a special ed. kid that was given a sparkler.
So why can't we use explosives and take it down like they do with buildings? Just string the track with explosives and in one big blast, no mas Windjammer. :)

To use explosives is to dangerous and to expensive. This coaster is not very high. So de constructionworkers are using cutters.
I was joking, for the most part.
