How will Six Flags affect the Great Northwest Them

It's exciting to think that a region that has gone neglected for so long may soon be home to two major theme parks. Six Flags newly acquired Enchanted Parks has permits to build two coasters, at least one of which has the approval to be up to 150 ft. Add this to the existing steel loop/corkscrew, as well as a waterpark that is already on par with Hurricane Harbor (a spinout and a wedge would make it perfect-hint, hint) and the potential for a great small park becomes evident.
And how has this impacted the development of The Great Northwest Theme Park in nearby Lakewood, WA? Has the Six Flags news created problems for this proposed park's development, or does the notion that competition is good for business bode well?
Please no six flags negativity; I've only been to SFMM & SFMW and enjoyed each park immensely and am keeping a positive attitude toward their purchase in WA.
