we all heard 66 degrees, but is it more? i spoke to an employee while online for houdini and he said it was 75 degrees. he seemed like a decent person to ask, he was kinda old, wearing a six flags shirt, and was with some guy in a suit. i think it is 75 degrees, i feels alot steeper than 66 degrees. anybody ride apollos chariot and nitro? you can tell nitro is steeper.
I think Nitro is definitely steeper than 66 degrees. Right when we pulled into the parking lot I could tell it was a lot steeper, it looked just as steep as S:ROS, and that is 75 degrees.

I would think steep would be better in terms of PR. I can't figure out why Six Flags would say that it was not as steep as it really is? (If it really is steeper)

Man that drop SEEMS steep when you're on it, but I'm not convinced it is more than 66.

Uh...66 degrees is pretty steep anyway. It's no 80, but it's still very steep. Magnum's drop still feels steep, and it's only 60 degrees.

I think that all B&M hypers just seem this way. Raging Bull's drop seems like it is incredibly steep, but it is only 65. Aside from that, what kind of sense would it make to give a coaster false stats that make it seem less impressive?

I work for SFGAdv. I am the head opreator on the Scream Machine and a Very Big Nitro Fan! Believe it or not, but Nitro is actually 67 degrees steep. The number 80 that is floating around is the real speed of an unloaded train on the first drop (215 ft). Nitro is one of the best rides I have ever been on. And, i've been on a lot!!
