Right now, my favorite is Titan at SFoT. Luckily, I live only 10 minutes away from this outstanding park. I have ridden Titan every single day since the park began daily operation. This week the park closed at 6 pm on weekdays and 10 pm on weekends. I get off work at 5 every day and I always pass by SFoT on my way to and from work. So every day I head straight from work to the park to ride Titan. I can usally drive from work to the park in about 5 minutes. Generally when I get there the park is starting to empty out since it's so close to closing time. The Texas Giant is usally a walk on around this time of day, and Titan takes no more than 15 mins. Generally, I am able to ride 5 times on Titan in the space of an hour (5pm-6pm). Next week the park begins staying open until 8pm everyday (10pm on weekends) and the week after the park will began staying open until 10pm everyday of the week.
Think about it, I will be able to ride Titan an average of about 10 times a day during the summer. And that's to say nothing of the Texas Giant and other great rides at SFoT.
My question is this. How many of you live close enough to theme parks to be able to ride your favorite coasters anytime you choose?
I can ride on a whim if I choose to. I might be at a movie or walking around a shopping mall when I glance down at my watch and see that it is about 8:30 or so. Then I might think to myself "Well it's 8:30, what should I do. I know, I'll run down and take a few rides on Titan while the crowds are thinning out". I hop in my car and 10 minutes later I'm walking into the park where Titan awaits.
How many others have this luxary? How close do you live to your home park? Do get to ride as often as you want like I do?
BTW, I had 5 rides on Titan today, I had 8 yesterday and 4 the day before. I be taking more rides tomorrow and the day after that and....well you get the idea.
