How much staff does it take to run a park?

Well I was just wondering how much people does it take to run an amuesment/theme park?? So how much staff each park has. Such parks as CP, IOA, Disney World(I'd like to know that), SFMM, ect.
I'm sure that Disney theme parkshas a lot more staff than any other parks in the world so that's not really a fair question. But I do wonder how much staff Six Flags, Paramount, Cedar Fair, etc. has.

There are ride ops., security, food servers, janitors (or Handymen), guys in costumes, and more.

What is life without geniuses?
It seems that when school starts parks don't have as much staff as during the summer.

I think that Cedar Point has somewhere around 3,000.
I seem to recall that the full time staff at the Point is somewhere around 250 to 300. This would include all the management people, ride maintenance, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, gardeners, etc. This is before any of the seasonal help is hired. Yes CPgenius, 3000 sounds about the right number for high season. In my day the number was around 1500. Yes, the place has grown in the last 30 years.

At Dorney Park, there are approxiametely 2,500 seasonal employees.
i would estemate about 1500 to 2000 at SFO. Seasonally. Only about 80 full timers

Gee, that puts SFO 1490 to 1990 short!

Jeff, you should know better than to bring up SFO in a topic where CP is mentioned, or visa versa. Anyway, SFO would only be about 100 short due to their smaller size.

Everybody calm down, the coasters do not open for another fifteen minutes.
OK, here it is straight from the 2000 Funparks Directory published by Amusement Business. Cedar Point-300 full time employees and 3500 seasonal. SFO-63 full time and 1500 seasonal. Dorney Park-85 full time and 3000 seasonal. SFSL-100 full time and 3000 seasonal. Disney does not list how many employees it has on it's payroll. Is this enough, or do you want to know more?
I know that last summer SFNE took on around 800 international students, mainly from Europe. However due to crappy accommodation and the working hours, most of them left but they didn't take on anymore to replace them. The last month of the season was a little hectic!
