I never really hear people talk about Knoebels or see it in the trip reports? Sure it's my home park but I feels it's one of the elite parks ranking up with Kennywood and Cedar Point, and Hershey. I was just wonder what everyone think of this park and the rides?

I just went there and it is a great park.Pheanix is my favorite ride because it has great airtime only beaten my jack rabbits double dip.Only thing it needs to do is to get more sponsors so it can get a good steel coaster.
Knoebels will probably never get a big steel coaster even if they were sponsored by B&M or Arrow. They want to keep the old traditional feel like in the 20's and 30's. The Whirlwind is rotten but I think they wanted to have at least one coasters with inversions. i think they will mainly stick to wood. You never know with Dick Knoebel though. Maybe someday they will get a used steel coaster but nothing mindblowing like Drachen Fire. Most likely sonthing like the Seamin' Deamon at Great Escape.

My parents live in the Pocanos so I visit about once a year. It is a truly magical place, a living amusement park museum (with a few museums within. The woodies and some flatrides such as the Flyers, Grand Carousel, bumpercars, Haunted Mansion and even HSTC are legendary. BTW Knoebels was a fairly common subject on the temporarily defunct URC discussion board. Can't wait to get back and I'd even like to meet Dick Knoebel and try to track down where the G. Carousel really came from. (I was born in Rahway NJ and there was no Riverside Park in that neck of the woods in the 30's or 40's) -Emil-
I went for the first time this past May and cannot wait to go back. It was a cool, cloudy day, and a light rain fell for hours, and the park was nearly deserted. At one point we were allowed five consecutive rides on the Phoenix (in the front seat!) without having to get off. The Phoenix is now my favorite wooden coaster; the Haunted Mansion is a blast; Twister is wonderful; and I could spend hours on their bumper cars, which are themselves works of art. Top this off with great employees, delicious, inexpensive food, and a real, old-fashioned ambiance, and you have real magic (for those of you who haven't been there, Knoebel's makes Kennywood look like a cold, corporate theme park. And I love Kennywood!). My wife and I spent the afternoon running from ride to ride like little kids; it may have been the single most enjoyable day I've ever spent at a park. It should not be a surprise that this little place is regarded as one of the best in the world.

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.
Knoebels just has that magic that big parks will never have. I was there last sat. and rode the phoenix 4 times, twister, haunted house, cosmotron, and ate pretty well all for under twenty bucks. For anyone who is a fan of the himilaya rides you should check at the cosmotron here.
why dont knoebels buy the Golden nugget mine ride coaster from Morey's in wildwood,nj
there was rumors that they will put dont see it happened let.
someone that known the owers of knoebels should said something to them,i dont like to see a good coaster go to waste.
