How many people have ridden Lightning Racer?

I love the MF trains, especially from the cosmetic aspect. I'd like to try one on something with major air - like ST or Phoenix - before I 'dis' the lapbars completely.

Now, just for fun, imagine the MF trains with old PTC buzz bars and no seatbelts...

So many coasters - so little time.
I love Lighting Racer, it is one of my fav. rides out there. The train seats are very comortable and they complete the ride. the whole ride has the old classic carnival look, and so do the trains. Its a great ride i cant get enought of it, or of the park for that matter.

Hershey park happy Hershey park proud
so much fun stuff to see and do Hershey Hershey Park:)
A smooth great ride, and one of the most beautiful coasters in the world. A symphony in wood.
I am glad that pretty much everyone agrees thats its a great coaster. I know what everyone is saying about the lapbars coming down on you. What I learned is to push my foot against the bar on the floor to prevent the lapbar from coming back. Try it next time if you have that problem.
It's a fun, beautiful looking ride with a genuis layout.
It's not really strong in terms of forces though, as is the case with most GCI's. I don't like the lapbars, but I love the trains.

Overall, it's a fun, well designed, very rerideable wooden coaster, perfect for Hershey's family clientiele.

I do this, but shouldn't have to. It makes riding too much of a chore and thus I don't enjoy it as much. They should stay where I put them...Roar at SFMW has the exact same problem. GCI rides don't exactly have the most airtime and the trains certainly aren't helping any.

I just got back from Hersheypark and I must say that I was amazed at Lightning Racer. It is my #1 favorite woodie with Thunderbolt coming in at a close 2nd.

Well Im from the Midwest and just returned from a ten day Eastcoaster trip and I have been on over 50 differant woodies and Lightnig Racer is one of the BEST Its way under rated ,I dont think its the best although in the top 5 for sure. The MF trains are great! and give a smooth ride and LOOK GREAT plus the dualing layout are second to none! I was very suprised with all the AIR TIME on Wildcat this ride ROCKS! Hershey was a great park ,I was a little let down with Great Bear ? a little rough for a B&M -------------------------------------------------
Dont fight it Ride it RAGING BULL
Lightning Racer was absolutely fantastic! It is very smooth especially compared to the great but very rough Wildcat.
What the heck must be wrong with me?

Everyone talks about the smooth Lightning Racer compared to the rough Wildcat. Okay, I think Racer is smooth, but I don't really consider Wildcat all that rough. (Hmmmmm.... perhaps I will actually like Hercules at Dorney park... just a thought)
