How many parks will you visit this season?

15 TO 20 PARKS
It should be another full year for me as well.

* Holiday World for SRM (a must hit every year!)
* SFStL on SRM weekend
* Indiana Beach on Media Day
* CP (for Coastermania? Probably...)
* Americana (if it opens)
* PKI (if Americana opens)
* Vancouver Playland (very definite, the trip highlight of the year)
* Silverwood (also on west coast trip)
* the West Edmonton Mall (if the trip out west ends up being of the insano road trip variety instead of the more practical flying type)
* SFGAm (didn't go last year so it's time)
* Big Chief's (the same weekend I go to SFGAm)
* SFWoA (probable season opener)
* PCW (my new home park, multiple hits in the fall)
* The Ontario Provincial Exhibition in downtown TO (featuring Anton Doppel Looping)
* La Ronde (also in the fall)

There'll also be another large scale trip thrown in there somewhere. Likely candidates are Texas (the big 3 park swing and mainly dependent on Thriller/Texas Tornado reopening), New Jersey (2 days @ SFGAdv, Morey's and Coney with a side stop at Knoebel's on the way through to use up spare tickets) or California (Santa Cruz, SFMM and Knott's)

* The Legend @ HW
* Superman: Ride of Steel @ SFNE
* Mondial Top Scan

...Summertime, the time of year when I get to be the jealous one....every coaster trip involves either LOADS of driving, or the flight/rental car combo (which has become SO much more interesting since 9/11).  I am WORKING on Jill right now, so I need plenty of moral support from you guys if I'm gonna get enough coaster trips planned...hoping for 10-15 "new to me" parks, and 30-40 "new to me" coasters, but we'll have to see how it all pans out...

Florida needs an Intamin and/or CCI soon...PLEASE!
Son of Drop Zone - PKI CoasterCamp I Champions!!!
My list of parks for 2002.

1.PNE/Playland;This is a must do park,due to the endangered status of Coaster and the PNE itself.

2.Silverwood;I have never ridden a CCI coaster,I have to change that.

3.Oaks Park,Portland,OR;Oaks isnt' much but its' my home park and the only place around here I can get a coaster fix.

4.Thrillville USA,Turner,OR;They do have a Schwartzkopf Jet Star and its' a hour from my home.

5.Western Washington Fair,Puyallup,WA;(maybe)Closest woodie to my home,about 2 1/2 hours away from Portland.Too bad we can only ride this one during the fair.

I plan to hit quite a few parks again this year, including some across that big blue water thing to the east.

1. SFMM
2. Knott's
3. Alton Towers
4. Blackpool Pleasure Beach
5. Thorpe Park
6. CP
7. King's Island
8. Kennywood
9. SFOT (hopefully)
and maybe a few more while in Europe

My hand could develop problems if I type all the names of all the parks I will be visiting this summer so i'll just give a number. 30-40 parks.

Did I mention, that I like coasters...

Looks like 35:  Wild Adv, SWO, BGT, IOA, USF, SFKK, SFGAm, IB, WoF, Des Moines, VF, SFStL, PKI, CP, KW, Lakemont, SFWoA, Williams Grove, Hershey, Dorney, Knoebels, Waldameer, Conneaut, SFMM, DCA, DL, Legoland, SWSD, KBF, USH, Big Chief, MIAdv, KCS, Belmont, Americana.  We're expecting to ride around 150 different coasters.

I wish we could leave tomorrow.  Why is spring taking so long to come?

35 parks and 158 coasters in 2002!

This thread amazes me.  People make fun of me because I'm "obsessed" with coasters, yet last year was BY FAR my biggest year ever, and I went to only 8 parks.  Heck I live in Ohio and last summer I only went to PKI twice, SFWoA twice and I didn't even make it to Cedar Point at all!  And yet my wife rolls her eyes when I want to take one day out of a 6-day vacation to stop at a nearby park.

btw, I have plans to make my first trip to Hersheypark this year, but other than that it'll probably just be one visit each for the big three Ohio parks, a spring day trip to Holiday World and maybe Americana, if we're lucky.
